Will Manly be batting or bowling in the first innings at Brookie on Sunday? If we bat first i hope we get enough runs on the scoreboard to keep the Eels from catching us.

I suspect the toss will be rigged and the eels will bat first - they are awful at chasing runs so thats the only way they will be in it. tipping penalties to be 0-5 after 25 minutes.

Had a crazy Sharks fan mate call me half time last night about the big win.....I thought, still another half to go and the signs were there that this Illawarra team could make a game of it - well they went 1 better and after the game I sent him the Illawarrs war cry post game after the 2nd half Shark soup and have not heard from him since....funny that.

That try that they took off the Dogs was an absolutely disgraceful call

I thought it was clearly inside shoulder. Having said that, I think no common sense is applied - should be a try every day of the week.

To your point though, they claim the video ref can’t judge on forward passes because of the angle, yet similar issues with angles here and yet a call can be made.

Referee chatting with Woods at half time, ref justifying himself, twice saying (at beginning and end) that the penalties are equal. Made me think of the many theories put forward here about the officials overly focusing on the penalty counts.

They are a different side with Keary in the line-up. He is more important to them than Cronk.

Looks like it will a 2nd 18 point loss in a row for the Dogs. Had two strong opponents in the first two games but they look like they could struggle this season, along with the Sharks

The dogs looked good in attack but they need to plug that hole up the middle that the chooks took advantage of too often.
