Penriths floppers are immune to any kind of scrutiny from the refs.
Any other team would be conceding 10 s of 6 agains every game.

Penrith don't seem to lose/gain much with/without Cleary. Dude is fine, but so overrated.**** sake if Melbourne can't beat penrith without Cleary then they may as well give them the threepeat now
We seem to do well against Penrith but suck against Melbourne. So we need to be on the Melbourne side of the draw and hope Melbourne play Penrith in an elimination before us to have any chance.**** sake if Melbourne can't beat penrith without Cleary then they may as well give them the threepeat now

32 tackles for big Nelson on the edge... that's a fair whack for an edge forward. Loiero with 42 so far!!It was an arsey try, but Melbourne were so ragged around the middle, all it was going to take was to keep the ball for them to crack.
Nelson has been running on empty this entire half.
Yeah there is huge downsides to having such a big body on the edge, it's not suitable for the sliding defence, the only way to make it work is rattle that edge early and hope they shut off rather then keep pushing it.Nelson on an edge sounds great in theory but any team that gets even share of ball just needs to run at him for the bulk of the game.
Sounds easy, but if he's running through your half every second touch... like he did to Ezra... then you're no chance of getting an even share against him.Nelson on an edge sounds great in theory but any team that gets even share of ball just needs to run at him for the bulk of the game.
Yeah, you really have to disrupt their connections and know their plays. Takes so much effort in the middle to stop that roll on. Problem comes when the ruck isn't being controlled equally. That try just comes off the back of simple footy executed well. Yeo running it to the line, timing the pass perfectly to Leota right as he's hit max acceleration and the Storm middle is running on empty. It gave Luai all the time in the world and he picked the right zone, stepping back inside before kicking across the ruck.
To'o coming in-field and making himself an option is just what makes them so good.
They're quality players on their own, but they're champions when they're working together.

But yes it would seem the best approach is to just keep sending traffic his way, but to also get him making decisions constantly.
He kept rushing out of the line on a half skipping across in front of him, and was then unsure on the decoys and block plays around him.
They're like the Dragons under Bennett, if you want to beat them you have to match their intensity and go set for set.Yeah, you really have to disrupt their connections and know their plays. Even then though, they were 14-0 down tonight and on the back of a shocking try call away in Melbourne.Early points are a premium and if you can establish a lead they'll begin to second guess ththemselves.
It was a quality win, with that said Melbourne can be equally disappointed with their efforts. 68% completions, 43% of the ball and once Warbrick went off they were always going to do it tough. Especially since the Warbrick exit resulted directly in points.Even then though, they were 14-0 down tonight and on the back of a shocking try call away in Melbourne.
Stuck to their systems, stuck it to Melbourne and in a 10 minute period took the lead.
Pretty impressive.
