Round 11: Other Games (2018)

Absolute rubbish the game died tonight.

Not only was that lot a penalty to be put in the bin was a travesty.

I'm over it absolutely sick of this rubbish. I hope I find a taste for the AFL

Say Napa stays on, you can argue that the broncs don’t get too bro that position... should never have been a penalty. **** me. The greats would be turning in their grave!

Manly have won 3 games this year on skill and guts. Brisbane have had 3 of their wins handed to them on a silver platter by the refs.

And the NRL is a level playing field?

Look, he did lead with his head IMO, but that is describing every single tackle. Sin bin? I'm no Chooks or Napa fan but that's a joke.

Between Mitchell and Roberts it is the outhouse or the penthouse....
Mitchell had him on the ropes and the ref could’ve stopped the fight 1st half.
Come 2nd half Jimmy wins by KO.
Credit where due...that freakish solo try is as good as it gets...he deadset Changed gears when he burnt Mitchell- then he he hit warp speed to blow away Manu who is quick, but looked like George Rose!!

Two incidents tonight involving the refs that need to be addressed.

One - the Warriors being penalised for an Eels player throwing the ball downward at dummy half, onto a Warriors player who was not in the ruck and lying still on the ground to not interfere with the play

Two - that horrible call to penalise Napa on the 4th for a head clash and then sin bin him. He's tall and aggressive, and that's just the way he tackles

Shame neither of them can takle. I’d pick Mose Suli. Made Robert’s look average last week

The sin-bin for foul play is a rule that was re-introduced for this year (or at least they're now enforcing it as they see fit).

But was it foul play? I think Napa was trying for one of his shoulder charges and got it wrong. But its not a sin-bin offence because IMO the head clash was accidental. I mean, he's lucky he didn't knock himself senseless.

To put Napa's 'lead with the head' on report is one thing, but to also put him in the bin for a completely accidental head clash is outrageous. Yep, another Broncos win at Suncorp gifted to them and a great game ruined 😡

Good entertainers though....the tackling side no one can argue is ordinary.
But the attacking flair they put on tonight is reserved to a handful of natural talent in today’s game.
Suli - in time could be anything

What farking player would "LEAD WITH HIS HEAD" into a head on tackle of an opposing 110kg plus forward rampaging towards you??? Use some bl00dy common sense...
All jokes aside HK you are right.
It all comes down to the ridiculous rule that the player in defence is responsible for the welfare of the player with the ball.
But amazingly the NRL isn't the only code with the idea.
Listening to a sports show during the week the afl has a similar thing.
Fmd !!!

That's 3 games this year (Rd.3 vs Tigpies, Rd 9 vs Dogs and Rd.11 vs Chooks) that Brisbane have had referee gifted wins.

What is it now for Sutton at Suncorp for the Broncos - 14 from the last 15? I can’t believe he was appointed to this game after the win/loss ratio the Broncos have under him at Suncorp was revealed after the Bulldogs game.
