Ricketson denies schoolgirl romance

SYDNEY Roosters captain Luke Ricketson is tangled in a scandalous rumour romantically linking the league star to a Year 12 student from an exclusive Eastern Suburbs high school.


The pin-up player, who is as renowned for his spunkiest man in league title as his on-field skill, is reportedly dating a final-year student from a private girls school, a footy insider claims.

"Ricko" denied the reports when contacted by Confidential yesterday, but admitted he and some of the Roosters players have been hanging out with a group of Year 12 students.


"I have not dated a girl of that age since I was 19," Ricko said.


"One of the other guys from the Roosters was seeing a girl who might have been in high school, and I have been out and about with some of her friends but that's it," the league star said in explanation of the contentious rumour.
