Pre-Game Raiders V Manly [Round 23, 2025]

Struggling to think of a less inspiring Manly lineup I've seen in my time as a supporter. Seibold trying to show Canberra what they missed out on by naming Schoupp? Waddell and Chee Kam might possibly be the worst 2nd row pairing in NRL history. Navale still can't get a run while we are down about 5 forwards. Talau in the centres over Garrick is a good move but the rest is baffling.

We had the worst forward pack at the start of the season, then it became worse and worse and worse, and you know it's really bad when MCK gets a start .

I payed close attention to Mck Saturday night when he was playing nsw cup and he looked badly gassed

If Navale's issue is that he can't do big minutes, why are we not moving Tevaga to the middle? Seriously, he kills all momentum at hooker. He should be a 20 min fill in there, and then could sub off Navale for 20 mins after.

When they see that team list they'll have a good reason for being complacent. That is a shocking forward pack and our backs aka as "weapons" don't fill with too much excitement these days either.

On the flip side, if you are going to pick Turbot at fullback , that is the centre pairing we should have had all year ( at least when Talau was fit anyway which wasn't often)
Our backs look ok

Raiders by 40 and season over again

It's game over for Siebold now unless Penn's moth laden wallet comes into play , which is the most likely result actually.

Long season with a lame duck Siebold marshalling the nursing home troops again next year.

The spoon is distinct possibility.

What a distant memory Killer , Snake and co are ... hard to watch these blokes

Our back 5 is equally matched with theirs. After that they **** all over us. Do we have any starting forwards under 30? If they start to move the ball around and with their speed we will be grasping at thin air and it could get embarrassing. Just hope we can stick in there and make a game of it.

Knew all preseason our lack of backrow depth was going to be an issue. Lawton was no star but was a really handy player who always did a job when filling in on the edge, even took Burbo's spot at the backend of last year after outplaying him there for most of the year.

To Burbo's credit he has improved a bit this year, still not convinced he's a decent NRL quality edge player but he is streets ahead of Waddell and Chee Kam. And that's the issue, those two are literally the only backup options in the squad behind Burbo and Haumole. We've had the misfortunate of watching Corey start a few times while one of them have been out, now we get to see Chee Kam as well, who hasn't even been performing at NSW cup level as an experienced 33 year old. Terrible roster management which can't be blamed on the salary cap.
