Pre-Match Manly v Panthers Round 26

Scans have confirmed Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards will be sidelined for at least three weeks after suffering a grade two medial ligament tear in his left knee.

Edwards suffered the injury late in the first half during Sunday's defeat to the Dragons at Pepper Stadium.

His replacement at fullback in the Panthers side to face Manly will be named on Tuesday afternoon.
most probably be dwz and they have no Moylan. If we dish up the same garbage as the last 2 months we will get smoked.. though I feel the win and the farewell to the legends will inspire them..

Since Sironen has a pec injury, the vigorous clapping and movement of his arms, flexing the pec, suggest to me that he's injury and surgery have healed. We shall see if my observations are correct on Tuesday, but I'm suggesting he will play.
I'm glad he refrained from banging the cupboard door

I love that 2011 jersey so much, looks awesome. I reckon jerseys play a big part in success, the more solid they look the more confidence a team plays with and the better the defence. Maybe a stretch although I have held that assumption for as long as I can remember

Bull****, they aren't even close to a better side than us. They have looked **** in most of their wins and massively struggled to beat a depleted version of us with 14 penalties to 4. Stupid ****whit
Dumb thing to say. Especially considering the leg ups Zoobriff were gifted in some of those wins.

Manly just have to come out and hit the 2017 Deselect button on these foot of the Mountains, ex-Slurperleague hayseeds.

I think, on paper, The 'Riff are a better side. Certainly their backs are. But as we've seen over the past four weeks . . . beating a paper-superior Easts, losing to a paper-inferior Tigers and Dogs, and scraping by against a paper-lightweight Worriers . . . matches are won by teams who have the passion - and the refs on their side.

I don't even reckon they're a better side on paper, especially when both sides are full strength, makes our backline look really good with Taufua back who we still heavily miss, Wright is slow and Kelly is young and inexperienced. Our pack is very good although we've been lacking offloads (and involvement from backs) Siro should bring back some offloads/involvement and will be a great addition defencively as he tends to establish his physical dominance over opposing players, something Lane has really lacked

Tyrone Peachy was just on Ch9 saying the Riff are better team than us.

He certainly won't be getting a call from MENSA any time soon .....🙂

We must keep the football and complete our sets. We need a 90% completion rate IMO. We have enough talent in the playing group but we have continually put ourselves under pressure with errors. Play with minimal errors and we win!

Please someone on the hill start this chant on a Saturday
14-4,14-4

Just to remind the refs we still haven't forgotten our last match against them.

Let's make it as uncomfortable for all the panthers and travelling fans.

The Panthers will head to the Northern Beaches confident of victory after seven wins in the last eight starts against Trent Barrett's side since 2013.

Their only loss was a one-point thriller to the Sea Eagles in 2014.

"We've done it in the last couple of years, if we play good I think we're a better team than them," Peachey said.

Quote from nrl website

We will see peachey maybe with Henry p and 14-4 penalty count you are but if things are even let's see then.
The Roosters lost the penalty count as well as losing one man in the bin but that didn't stop them from beating the Sharks at Shark Park .
Good sides have proven to be good enough to over come adversity .
Its all up to us

I have a feeling that we will win this one at the back of more DCE brilliance . I think he will be on a roll and there will be no stopping him.

Let's not blame the ref before the game begins. I'm confident we'll win this crucial clash. If we lose, let's just hope the cowboys get smashed by the Broncos or the Dogs continue their form and stun the dragons. Once again I believe we will win, although we have a very small safety net if we dont

Like you I am confident we will win. The question remains though.....will we be allowed to? Will we be given a fair blow of the whistle?
