Well you know what the definition of insanity is don’t you ?

The definition of insanity is us on here having the same dialogue about team list Tuesday every Tuesday evening. Des picks the same team, we moan about the same stuff. In fact I think the very “definition of insanity” commment has been made numerous times before. In some ways Silvertails are as mad as Des. lol!

Well I have to say crazy...... Croker must go and Cust in! Aloiai must be in the starting side. Tippytoes in for Garrick/Saab - someone. Maybe even Keppie starting just to get up and smash a few of them early! Funa at fullback - Walker to Centre - Parker out!

I actually do - there’s some holes in this warriors team with the outs they have (clearly some holes in our squad as well!).

On paper we should absolutely be matching the warriors.

It was not so much getting beaten by Roosters, Rabbitohs and Panthers that pains me. All those teams are real premiership contenders and we most def are not so they really should win. The lack of competence and competitiveness that we showed, and the moments of things that looked a bit like sheer gutlessness, those hurt. The thing that really hurt was being thumped witless by the Dragons, a team that I honestly considered little or no better than we are. But they are playing with heart, to their credit.

We're meeting the Warriors under conditions of real advantage for us. If we cannot at the very least compete like we are real contenders for that victory then we are in for a hard and horrible year and will go close to the spoon indeed.

I am still confident that we can beat the Bulldogs, a team that looks genuinely like it has no idea, and probably the Cowboys too. But as a long time fan of the mighty Sea Eagles I am certainly getting tired of going through the draw and trying to work out if I am confident we can avoid the spoon.

Wake up Manly club you are in actual disgrace!!

you know whats weird, and I'm not being funny. when I first loaded the team list on the manly site, it said ben t, then I refreshed and I **** you not, it said Tom T for a while, and then came back a few mins later and it was back to Ben. I'm 100% serious, why would this be?

To be fair there were times last year when Croker actually showed glimpses of being a decent dummy half, certainly a bit better than Danny Levi. The main thing that let him down was that his execution for the most part was crap.

This year other than his try against Souffs where he actually dived over from dummy half ... he's been shocking. His passes are slow and he rarely, if ever, asks questions of the defense or gets them on the back foot by running.

To use Fatty-speak, Cust has been thousands times better whenever he's been on, yet week after week we get Croker at #9.

Croker is no world beater but he is also a 6 playing 9... looked a lot better in his games at 6 than he does now but is being asked to play out of position like many others...

One questions their previously steadfast love for a team when your stomach turns and hatred piques at reading out our team and player positions every Tuesday. Even factoring in injuries it would be nice if either a) our coach would try something new, somewhere in the team and show some recognition that what he is coaching and who he is picking is not working, or b) I had a modicum of faith that some of the incumbents might actually play a decent game of footy. We have far to many players who have not had a decent game in over half a season of matches, and show no sign of the desire or ability to turn it round.

It’s a pretty lousy feeling knowing that the season is effectively over foe us in terms of finals aspirations and it’s barely a month old.

Des is like the guy who rocks up to the same nightclub every Saturday night, sees the same gorgeous leggy blonde at the bar and goes up and hits on her only to be shot down.

Next week, he sees the same blonde and hits on her using the same line he did the week before.

And next week. And the week after that.

Sadly, this will keep going until she kicks him in the jatz crackers. And even then it's still possible he might go back next week. Albeit with a bit of a limp.

Can discount cocaine usage here - this also happened to me. When I first checked the list, Tommy T was named on the reserves list. Next time I checked it was changed to Ben.
