MANLY FACE AWKWARD FORAN DILEMMA

The Sea Eagles’ resurgence is not without complication with an awkward decision looming on veteran Kieran Foran.

Des Hasler’s side has gone back-to-back after a disastrous start to the season with Foran playing a key role.

Foran joined Manly this season on a bargain basement one-year deal worth $200,000.

Wide World of Sports reports the Sea Eagles have promised rising star Josh Schuster the No.6 jersey in 2022 meaning Foran could find himself once again out in the cold.

Foran is still only 30 and — while Manly could look to re-sign the New Zealand international on similar money — he would likely want job security and an upgraded contract should he be able to build on his recent form and remain injury free.
This doesn’t ring true. Didn’t manly sign him for 1 year with a 1 year option in the club’s favour? So if manly want him for another year at that amount then that’s fine.

If he has another year in him then why not at that price? Like the idea of a bench utility.

Rule #1 in modern day journalism: never let the facts get in the way of trying to write a good story.

Wankers.

I wonder what the selection will be today that bewilders and/or angers many here.

It wouldn't be Des if there isn't one.

Countdown....
Where's Curtis at...? Week 7-8 on the 'injury list' thread...

guessing he replace Guac when he is ready... apart from that I am not sure Des has too many opportunities to change the squad...

That's how we were named last week too wasn't it - Des will pull the same old switcheroo he did on Saturday I'm betting.
Yeah I just checked and you are on the money... the Croker video on the Sea Eagles website is an interesting insight into Des...

Unchanged!

Bloody Des! He's picked the same side yet again. When is he going to start giving the kids a run? If he doesn't pick them soon, they'll leave - look at what happened with Schuster and Haumole.
