This is a danger game because sometimes the "gritty fight through an injury crisis" involves a burst bubble. I hope it wasn't popped on Friday night. I've rarely seen teams grind out gritty wins under adversity in two or three patches. It normally involves a good run before a crash back to earth with losses on the trot. I really hope we can bounce back because a couple in a row, all of the sudden we are out of the 8.

The good news is we have a good record at Shark Park.

Funny thing in such a close competition. We win, we could be in the top 4. If we lose, we could be out of the 8 altogether. I think Des made a mistake having Siro at 5/8 instead of Cust but I understand the rationale considering he was one reserve grade game back from a serious injury. Let's hope either Croker or Cust line up alongside Elgey this week.

I'm hoping AFB will be fit this week, we need him desperately with Sippers out. Otherwise we are relying on Tangles or Lance to man up and start. Could we start Waddell at prop ?? If we have a 6 this week then Jetski will drop back to bench and Siro goes to normal edge. So won't need another forward on bench in that case

Walker will be named as well you would expect, just a matter of whether he is 5/8 or centre. He hasn't played a game at centre for over 12 months as he finished last year in 6 after he recovered from cheekbone injury. If Croker isn't fit then do we try Siro at 6 experiment again or does Walker go to 6 and we find another centre presuming Suli isn't fit. Slim pickings there I would guess - only option I can think of is Sandwich to centre and hope that Horhay is right to go and he and Whiskey play wings

Intetesting game as both teams have alot of injurys. Shaun Johnston and moylan out helps us immensely. Danger is they still have an experienced half in Townsend, which we are lacking.

Sharks might get some troops back - a few players listed as possibly being right for this round

Matt Moylan (hamstring) — Round 10

Andrew Fifita (hamstring) — Round 11

Matt Prior (neck/shoulder) — Round 10

Shaun Johnson (hamstring) — Round 11

Wade Graham (knee) — Round 11-12

Aaron Woods (foot/ankle) — Round 14

I thought we’d beat the Broncos and voted that way in the footy tipping.

I think this week might be a bridge too far given the injuries and whilst we will get Walker back let’s remember he hasn’t played for 6 months or more.

I’m sorry but I’ll be picking the Sharks in the tipping Comp this week.

I really hope Des goes with Cust (think he's in our 30 squad) if Croker is not available. Sirro is not a half and we need good halves to steer the forwards around. Against the Broncos it was obvious in our attack and the boys lacked direction.
Cade is a specialist half and he has been training with the boys all pre-season so he knows the game plans and structures. I think he and Elgey will go well together and it also gives the kid some first grade experience.

1. Brendan Elliott 2. Jorge Taufua 3. Dylan Walker 4.Brad Parker 5. Reuben Garrick 6. Lachlan Croker 7.Kane Elgey 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Apisai Koroisau 10.Martin Taupau 11. Joel Thompson 12. Curtis Sironen 13. Jake Trbojevic 14. Manase Fainu 15. Jack Gosiewski 16. Corey Waddell 17. Morgan Boyle 18. Kelepi Tanginoa 19. Cade Cust 20.Taniela Paseka 21. Lloyd Perrett

Not too bad presuming all players named play. The few extra days till Sunday will help too.

i actually hope dessie preserves croker and gives cust a crack. Doesn't hurt to have another half who can chip in, and especially given our injury crisis i don't think we want to risk anymore players. plus with api battling injuries I feel it could be good to have another #14 option in following weeks.
