I’m backing him, he’s had plenty of good games against top teams in his career so far. He had a really poor game tonight but so has everyone, it’s important to see how he responds to it next week

Next week ain’t good enough. Tonight we had everything to play for. If Seibs couldn’t get them up tonight… if the players couldn’t get themselves up for tonight with a potential top 4 on the line… then f* them. It’s the past decade mediocrity continued.

I rate koula, but would pick Talau over him in an instant based on 2024.
He was terrible tonight and looked almost disinterested at times and his worst play, allowing that ball to bounce after that shii miss kick from Galvin at a vital stage of the game.
I do agree it's a tricky 1, as Lehi in time will likely end up in the centres and then it maybe the quickest wing combination in the comp - Saab and Koula

Watch our back 5 coming out of our own end and compare to every other team, no hustle, no fight, no quick play the balls, standing starts and skipping into the line. Garrick Saab and koula are the offenders here. It puts us at a huge disadvantage and is the main reason why we always lose the yardage and field position battle

100% been happening all year, opposition make our 40/30 line from their in goal while we can’t get out of out 40mtrs.

There were a couple of times tonight, one about 2 minutes before Turbo scored our last, where if Koula had actually taken on the line instead of immediately passing ... he'd have actually scored himself. Both times he bombed it.

Koula for mine is a winger at best.

100% mate. Our backs ain’t the problem. Last two weeks we have been beaten up in the middle. We were better in the second tonight (without the refs input). Seriously Jake needs a spell each game now. He was getting mauled in the ruck tonight.

Koula is playing like someone who’s had sone pretty solid wraps for a while and had a position locked down to someone that knows there’s now a better option in grade and he has to compete for a spot. He’s not relaxed at all.

That was unlucky, but coughing up the ball by being bundled into touch immediately after we got the ball back from a Tigers mistake at a crucial time was not good. Nor was passing the ball to Lehi so he could get bundled into touch earlier in the game instead of straightening the attack.

I love the way he let the ball bounce in the on goal, and look what happened. Just like Koula does it.

I back Koula also, though I would play Talau at left centre purely on form not ability, I would punt Saab and play Koula on the right wing.

why do people on this forum reckons koula is a gun player? look at the try scored by the lightweight tigers mason. Sure, koula got to him as fast the THE FLASH (marvel), but Koula is too small, too lightweight and mason just dragged koula across the tryline. tigers scored. if tommy Talau was there at centre with Lehi, Talau would have stopped that try. More bulk is Talau. To me Koula is the worse player in the manly team. does anyone see what I see. I am 67 years old and have followed manly since 1966. tonight the tigers will just attack Koula and lehi, two lightweights.

if we persist with Koula for rest of this year 2024, we can kiss our chances goodnight.

Watch his games where he has played fullback and you may change your opinion, don’t forget he has move from the right side to the left side this season and he hasn’t adjusted there as well as he was on the right.
