Too small and too light for a winger

He's 2cm shorter than Brian To'o (182 to 180) who doesn't seem to be too small. To'o out-weighs Koula by 9 kg (97 to 88) which would account for the Panthers winger being pound for pound the physically strongest winger in the NRL. But added muscle would arguably slow Koula down so that's a trade off.

Tolu Koula has played plenty of wing both for Blacktown and Tonga. I'd honestly be playing Hopoate or Talau at centre with Koula outside of them. But then, we have a coach who at one point named a 2nd rower at halfback, then played a centre there instead of playing the NSW Cup half who that very day led Blacktown to a route of Souths ... who we failed to score against in the main game. So I don't have a lot of faith players will be played where they should be, at least should be IMO.

100% holden. koula fullback. you've got to be f73king kidding me. i only wish they leave in in blacktown for the rest of this season. there are some manly fans compare koula to papenheusen and walsh. how ridiuclous is that. For me, koula is the worse player that manly has ever recruited. he is useless.
You seem to relate to the word ‘useless’ pretty well! Sums you up completely! Useless, waste of space, old man syndrome….should I go on. Get off the kids back mate, he’s 1000 times the athlete & person you are!

why do people on this forum reckons koula is a gun player? look at the try scored by the lightweight tigers mason. Sure, koula got to him as fast the THE FLASH (marvel), but Koula is too small, too lightweight and mason just dragged koula across the tryline. tigers scored. if tommy Talau was there at centre with Lehi, Talau would have stopped that try. More bulk is Talau. To me Koula is the worse player in the manly team. does anyone see what I see. I am 67 years old and have followed manly since 1966. tonight the tigers will just attack Koula and lehi, two lightweights.

if we persist with Koula for rest of this year 2024, we can kiss our chances goodnight.
The guy Koula is bloody hopeless.

.
People on the forum think he is gun player because he is a gun player. Those that think he isn't, are reacting to some average form from a guy that has immense talent.

Koula also did a superb job when he ran the decoy perfectly when two defenders tackled him and the ball went to DCE to score.

Not to mention the try he stopped when he knocked the ball out of the winger in the cnr.

His knee seems to be a lot better now afta his operation.

but Koula let in the try that saw bulldogs went up 16-6. Koula is too small and opposition will bomb his way. happy he score a try but yes, i believe Talau would have score too had ben passed to talau. No one hates Koula. Just that he has more weaknesses than strengths.
if saab is available

1. turbo
2.saab
3, garrick
4 talau
5 .lehi

Thats our strongest side. Again, there is no hate here, as we support all manly players.
Yawn zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I'm not really Mal Cochrane...
nah, no one but Koula in that moment scores that try. It was beautiful to watch and something Ive been waiting a long time to see in 2024. I thought he was very good today!

It doesnt take away from what i said earlier, and there was no hate, just disappointment.

Interesting tonight, Bulldogs has a small pack and we got over them, we were dominated in the backs as we are all speed and no size. If you swap Vega in who will s a beast do you get the Hoppa try who was push over the sideline and lost 5m on most kick returns? I would like Garrick at FB, Talua and Saab on the wing with Kola and Turbo in the centres. Turbo next to DCE to pick up his defence with Oka on the other side. Hoppa bench on straight in for injury.

Wow, a lot of changes to a winning team. They used to drop one winger when you lost
