[Resurrected] Parcell the next to go?

The Lurker has read this thread and embellished
Yup, once again another rumour that was pointed out on silvertails has made it onto that site. The lurker just matches the dots seeing Beale is set to leave the Sharks and the Parcell rumour on here. Not happening fullstop

I understand the Lurker favours similar haunts (to lurk in) as Alan 'A greyhound's worst enemy' Jones and the late PM, Billy McMahon.

Lurker copy?

Yeah parcel is inexperienced but he is going to be a very good hooker much the same as ash taylor both players that bennett never wanted to let go .. Dont go blaming parcell & others for the poor showing this year .. Every week was just a patched up side with who was available at the time fkn ridiculous how many star players were missing & it never let up.. I dont mind beale he goes pretty well but we have 3 or 4 outside backs of similar ability.. If snake can show anything & i think he will tom turbo wld be a great centre .. From what ive heard tom wright could be very good at fullback .. I wldnt be so eager to push parcell out the door

Well I've always liked Beale as a player. I remember when he first came on the scene as a fullback I think I was really impressed with him - ran hard, reasonably quick. Just looked a real solid player and he made rep with NZ pretty quick too. I think given uncertainty in our backline having a genuine first grader that can play a few roles would be priceless. The bloke can play and he ain't the dreaded 'depth ' player that we're all sick of hearing about lol

Hear, hear, but I think the issue is we could be giving up a pretty damned good Hooker (which most of the game stems from) who could be here for a decade as a the price.

If I'm Sharks, I'd take that deal, and laugh all the way to the Bank.

Koroisou has moments of brilliance. But he is also prone to have massive brain farts at the most inopportune times.

Parcell is more direct, more consistent, more pacey from dummy half.

Koroisou also wants to play like a half...and that doesn't bode well at dummy half. His left to right passing is actually well below average for a first grader and professional.

Yes Ryan ure spot on - I was just saying Beale goes ok but as we know all the good teams have excellent fully fledged hookers with lots of skill and experience and for Matty that will take some time. Giving him up to get a quality back is definately not the way to go. I cannot for the life of me see us doing that..plus surely we have the coin to just buy a player ffs without selling our souls for the deal

how about we bring Gutherson home ? similar player...

And why would they? They'd be mad to let such a talented and versatile outside back go. Oh, wait…
We signed The best young talented back in Tom Turbo . We cant keep them all. No club does . Thurston to the Cowboys from the dogs is one example . Not Many Turbo's and Thurston's come around in a life time .

We could've kept him. He could've been playing Poos role, except he'd be really good at it. Poor judgement in recruiting imo.

Poo (who is sht in my opinion as well ) covers for the backs and for the forwards where as Gutho only covers for the backs .
This could be the reason why they kept Poo .

Bozo, we signed Matthew Wright, Tim Moltzen, Goodall, Lavaka and kept Williame but let's Gutherson go. People say he wanted to play fullback but I don't buy it - he went to Parra on the wing and then shifted to 5/8. It really had nothing to do with retaining Turbo in my opinion.

They got it wrong - plain and simple.

i think the criticism our recruitment department has received is warranted..

It is always sad to see a talented young player go but who knows what the reason could have been . Did Parra offer him overs like they usually do . The players that you mentioned in Wright , Moltzen, Lavaka and Williame are budget salary cap players .

Bozo its not a question of having to sacrifice a couple of players, to improve our stock. It is ensuring that what you sacrifice is worth it. Parcell for Beale is ridiculous. Parcell for Jack Bird? Now that's a worthy agreement. The problem is we are losing better talented players for either old good players on the slide, or for players that offer less to the team.

How could be justify Buhrer or Uate, despite the money issue, and especially when you have a couple of up and coming winger/centres. How can you let Gutherson go and then get the Wrights (not including Tom) and Brown. I dont think anyone has a problem sacrificing at times. But you do it to improve, not to lose quality.
