That leg speed and mobility matters. In time another big bopper can sit on the bench, and Jackie needs to run more if he wants to keep his spot.

The extra speed of play in middle just made the hole runners on the edge look the best this teams looked in about 6 years.

Was great to win but seriously watching games lately is becoming a fiasco. The refereeing is just rubbish at the moment. Tonight was a shambles and it feels like most games are like this. The nrl better get it's sh*t sorted otherwise people will turn off. It's a contact sport. Hits in the head are unavoidable. Nobody goes out there to deliberately do this. It's become a circus.

They’ll be another two games of this sin binning bs. Then you watch next week, just like magic, it will all disappear. You’ve got the commentators trying to brainwash everyone with, "that’s the way it is folks, get used to it". Well no it’s fkn not, and no I won’t!
There’s only so much the viewing public are going to cop before they start flicking the Tele off. I reckon we are at that point right now. You know it’s bad when even Klein finally knocked some sense into the officiating by denying that ridiculous call on Turbos hip-high shot, then letting Jizz off from his apparent high shot.

The thing I liked most about Simpkin tonight was he took some early darts out of dummy half, and found space. I’d like to think Ennis has had a bit to do with that. Either way, that game will do wonders for his confidence going forward.

here’s only so much the viewing public are going to cop before they start flicking the Tele off.

I confess I literally turned it off when TKO got sent. Had no idea what he was binned for but it was more that I suddenly had a sinking feeling that Panthers with all the momentum would run away with it and ...and ... I don't enjoy watching anymore when that happens.
And this after being quite confident all week and tipping Manly!
But 10 min later I relented and picked up the replay where I'd left off, and watched the rest.
And enjoyed it! Like Seibs, I was proud how they played!

I'm glad I tune out most of the 'future' negativity now.
Because with a forum made up of mainly old men (farts) it's what we're going to get and it fills the forum's pages.
That's ok, I'm not trying to change anyone's posting style. Your feelings are valid.
I used to wonder what motivates people to post the exact same negative (they'll say realistic) comments over multiple threads on something that hasn't even happened yet!
Grumble about Sipley's 4 week ban - yup, that's happened
Grumble about Penrith putting a massive score on us...hasn't actually happened.

So shine on all you crazy diamonds...no Manly game for 2 weeks. Time for a few bumps and bruises to heal, or conversely...'Manly will lose 90% match fitness and be terrible next game back'

It was absurd, but I also didn’t think you could challenge foul play, yet we were alllwed to here and with jazz’s shoulder tackle

She completely lost control of the game, the edicts from the nrl make their job hard, but she ****ed it good and proper.

I love how you can go back several tackles to bin a player for a questionable head high, yet you can’t wait three seconds to check a 40/20. It is complete lunacy and rendering a lot of the sport unwatchable. Players, refs and punters are all confused and bemused . It’s a big inconsistent, irrational, illogical mess

Wonder what would of have happened if Manly scored, I think it was 4th tackle when the bunker intervened.

"Ahhh sorry Manly, were taking the try of you, sin binning 1 of your players and awarding the panthers a penalty"

Fantastic performance. Best performance from a 9 in a manly jumper since Ballin left. TKO and Bully were amazing as was Jazz. We really need to think about our forward pack makeup going forward. So nice to see us cover the middle without giving away a million set restarts.

The TKO sin binning and Yeo not getting sin binned will do me. It just proves there's corruption and favouritism in this game.

Tom ducked into his, whereas Papa was upright and still got bumped on the chin.

We need to turn Jake back into an impact forward. His long minutes at lock just don't work as well as what we could get out of him sharing the lock role with Tevaga or Navale.

He doesn’t have impact though.

Reduce his minutes but he will still be a worker rather than an impact player.

I did a similar thing when TKO was binned but I only lasted about 30 seconds before I was back in front of the big screen. I had that sinking feeling that it’d all unravelled for us. That’s what makes it such a special win though. The old Manly do let it completely unravel but we stuck solid. Very proud!
