Today our forwards need to play that tough power game we've seen glimpses of in defence this year. If we're passive off the line that'll give their ridiculously talented backs the opportunity to put a cricket score on us. Tommy's had a few games now playing well within himself. Just his presence on the field is often enough for us to beat mediocrity, but not against this mob. We need him playing at 100% too to have any chance. Go Manly

Working till late, be checking in every 15min to read comments. Go Silvertails, Go Manly!!!!
Working the 12 hour overnight shift as well from 5pm to 5am and when I get home I sleep better after a Manly win :)

I am happy for the talented Weekes to be finally given his full game NRL opportunity
He has been overlooked for too long . His dynamic Skill and Speed should be a thorn in the ass for the Panthers .

We have a Huge Titanic Pack but they need to match the Tenacity of the Panthers relentless Hyenas that come at you with ferocity until the final seconds of play

Our centres Parker and Harper need to hold their own other wise they will be owned by their more dynamic opponents as they were last week against the Knights

DCE has to play a Queensland State of Origin captains knock and lead us to an inspirational win

And if the best player in the world Tom Turbo produces his best game of the season then this could be one of our best wins of the season

Go the Mighty Sea eagles !!!

Yep simple game plan, based on effort and enthusiasm. Dolphin 'em.
Go Manly!
The Dolphins are over achieving because Great coaches like Bennet overachieve and overcome adversity and excuses

Losers make excuses for adversity
Winners have answers to every set back
Nothing more mediocre to see a coach after a loss taking comfort on excuses

Lets go out there and Execute the Panthers !!!

People blowing up about John in the 14, but I see the sense in it.

One of our back 5 go down and we'd have no cover with Toff or Samuela.

At least with Johns Kaeo can shift with and injury
Should we have someone on the bench just to cover a potential injury in the backs?

I was thinking Sips will replace Johns, to beef up our defence especially against the panthers. However, you made good valid points and I'm ok with the selected team too. In case of injury, the beauty of Kaeo is he can cover any backs, with Johns on the bench.

Still, what an initiation game for Kaeo at 5/8 and I wish him all the best. Also welcome back Saab...I hope he's up for it.

I'm mentally prepared in case of torture (lol). Go Manly!!

Sorry @Rocky ... I got distracted by life and was cut short ... I meant to add that with the HIA and concussion protocols ... it is no longer a fair bet that a back won't need replacing at some stage ... the percentages have swung around ...

The real issue is recruitment putting Latu in the 30 before Gordie... Coaching staff new Gordie much closer to debut than Fainu, especially with Lawton still in recovery, that was a dud move. Now Lawton will need to spell Croker but will be pulled into backrow or centres if injury strikes. Meanwhile Johns can only play halves, so Weekes moves back to cover hooker. Such a clusterf*ck that could have been avoided if Gordon is our 14 from day 1. Anyway, doubt it will have any bearing on today's result

It’ll be good to see if Woods is fair dinkum about getting a start in first grade, or he just doesn’t GAF.
I hope he does the former and brings Sipley along with him.

Isn't that because of Latus' upgraded contract? I thought once a player is getting paid over a certain amount they have to be in the top 30. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes.

With HIAs and the amout of injuries I believe we definitely should.

A we dont need at 4th middle who plays 12 minutes
