Just my opinion, but the referee seemed to be officiating based on the NRL policy and indicators, not on the game and what was going on in front of him. Worst example was the 2nd half penalty for tackling Keary in the act of kicking the ball. Just a shocker.

The thing is we know games can be refereed with a lot less intervention, just by looking at Origin.

But then you get this bizarre NRL logic which says "We can't referee NRL games like Origin, because then there'd be nothing special about Origin".
