Origin game one thread. (Realistically)

Ch9 is enough for me to lose interest! I hate with a passion anything Ch9 goes near concerning RL. Bloody Ads non-stop and at inappropriate times, real amateur efforts
Turn the volume off and enjoy the game feathered friend

Argh one of the few games I have to watch on nein each year 🙁

Go blues! Wish Jake a great game, injury free thank you

Anybody out there still care about origin?
Ill be watching for two reasons;
1 to watch Jake make his bebut.
2 ive just bought a new tv.

NSW Blues: 1. James Tedesco, 2. Blake Ferguson, 3. Josh Dugan, 4. Jarryd Hayne, 5. Brett Morris, 6. James Maloney, 7. Mitchell Pearce, 8. Aaron Woods, 9. Nathan Peats, 10. Andrew Fifita, 11. Josh Jackson, 12. Boyd Cordner (c), 13. Tyson Frizell. Interchange: 14. David Klemmer, 15. Wade Graham, 16. Jake Trbojevic, 17. Jack Bird. Extended bench: 18 Matt Moylan, 19 Jordan McLean, 20 Jack De Belin

Queensland Maroons: 1. Darius Boyd, 2. Corey Oates, 3. Will Chambers, 4. Justin O’Neill, 5. Dane Gagai, 6. Anthony Milford, 7. Cooper Cronk, 8. Dylan Napa, 9. Cameron Smith (C), 10. Nate Myles, 11. Josh Papalii, 12. Matt Gillett, 13. Josh McGuire. Interchange: 14. Michael Morgan, 15. Sam Thaiday, 16. Aidan Guerra, 17. Jacob Lillyman. Extended bench: 18 Johnathan Thurston

THE OFFICIALS

Matt Cecchin and Gerard Sutton have been named as the referees for Origin I.

Brett Suttor and Chris Butler will be the touch judges.

Bernard Sutton will act as the senior review official in the bunker, and Ben Galea will be the other review official.
Realistically - NSW will win the series. Otherwise the concept is not just stuttering but may die. It's already been decided.

Cant agree on that one... Im happy with tedesco at the back... But if all were fit, i dont see how tommy turbo and dugan miss out.. Can also see hoppa back one day.. I count all those guys as fullbacks, and think having a backline with those 3 fit and firing would be much better than a backline with either morris brother or furgusson...

You have lost me there

Yep. Jake is the only reason for me.
They used to let em loose in the opening 20 then play football.
Once they took that madness out of origin and treated it like an NRL game I lost interest.

True, watch for the Pearce redemption story blah blah and whatever other rot they come up with. I'm a Qlder but yeah it's dying slowly with our past wins, no biff, Ch9 etc etc

Right now I'd say I barely care about it, but to know for sure I'll have to see how pissed off I get when Qld get away with a forward pass or a strip or some of the other Bullsh1t they put on. If I start yelling obscenities at the TV I'll know I do still care 🙂

count how many forward passes, strips and holding down in tackles Scam gets away with

And the NRL has gone mad with their pricing.
When queenslanders don't fill the ground because it's too dear you know something's wrong.

I'm kind of happy DCE isn't there so he can't be injured but I still can't help but feel that he's been **** on by some of the so called QLD greats.
I'll be watching to cheer Jake on and hopefully to see a little payback towards those smarmy bastards.

To show you how much interest there is in this game not ONE post since yesterday!!

AND for the first time in I don't know how many years there's still about 5000 seats spare for game 1 in QLD, at Lang Park......fair dinkum even the Queenslanders are sick of winning as well!!

So the Queenslanders were dribbling on a few years ago that 2 games a year should be permanent in QLD since 80K Homebush did not sell out. Now they cannot even sell 50K tickets so given their honest humble nature I assume they will be demanding game 3 is in NSW this year?
