Remember when we had JWH Tama Lasi, Buhrer, Foran, DCE, Bani, Oldfield, Wolf, Tafua, Matai, Ballin, Hodkinson, Whare, Burns, Cuthbrrtson, Will Hopiate, all coming through our juniors? Not all of them kicked on but was as big a reason for our success as the blokes above them who were or were almost established stars.

Dave Warwick helped too.

I still can't see how Des "Control Freak" Hasler would work well with Bob "Control Freak" Fulton if he does come back to Manly.

It worked when Des was a player and Bozo was the coach because Des knew who was boss. But Des as coach is a much different situation as we know.

I can't see Des coming back to Manly unless he knows that he'll be calling the shots without backroom interference.

Don't see how he can have an ego when he has only been signed as a utility and not guaranteed a FG spot!

The way things have been going for Des lately he may have to cast his net rather wide to get another gig.
It would be such a tough life to live at the Basin in Collaroy and have to drive all the way to Brookie or Narrabeen for a paltry $400,000 or so.

Yeah you've missed the point. Not about our juniors, more about the players brought into our junior system before the U20 NYC production line.And before that players scouted from far and wide.

When we were a force it seemed like we had a thousand young bloods keen and ready to step up.

Now all we hear is second chance super stars.
