The Major reminds me of a bloke called Major Hutton-Bury I met once in Tullamore . He surprised me as I was climbing through his window.

He owned a castle called Charleville and I climbed through the window cause i wanted to have a look (I was about 10). He said if you want to come in knock on the door. The castle wasn't in great condition and neither was he.

I used to get into the Tullamore Dew granary too. It used to back onto our orchard. The buildings were old, the bars were rusty and there were big piles of grain that were great for sliding down. It was like a maze, the workers used to chase us but I don't think they really gave a f**k.
