Watched the women’s match (how PC of me) and I was thinking that the 40/30 rule might be just what we need in the NRL. It would make tactical kicking a much bigger part of the game and break up the defensive line. Should result in a much more open game with more opportunities for sweeping back line plays. It was also a great match that made a mockery of the idea that you’ve got to have hugely expensive and talented players to have an entertaining competition.
