News regarding Barrett’s future coming up on fox league

How has he lasted this long. Finally people like Swanton are starting to assess facts rather than staring into Bambis eyes.

Wingers rarely touch ball , rarely score tries
Centres never receive early ball
Slow play the balls in attack
Can’t control the ruck in defence
Conceded more points than any other team
Edge defence on the line has no idea or structure
Give up large leads regularly
Bad discipline on and off the field
Red zone attacking structure non existent
DCE TT Jake Marty AFB have been fit all year and excelling in rep football
Bench use borders on insanity
Coaches cringeworthy press conferences
Conflict between hands on football department staff
PLAYERS LOVE HIM BUT WONT PLAY FOR HIM

After 3 years none of the above are even up for debate. Can anyone seriously doubt the above points.

These are flashing red signals that the team is badly coached by a guy clearly out of his depth both in a technical sense and a man management sense
These things are fixed on a training paddock with a Steeden, not a recruitment manager for the future, a guy who can count to 9. 2 million and a furniture removalist. At the margin this resource issue is important , it does NOT define a football team. It does NOT excuse 15th position with the talent we have.Tooves and Maguire are dead right.

Worst coach in our history and the results prove it

Lance the boil.

Btw he is not going anywhere as a head coach. He may have taken Buzz and co for a ride but there is no way he has fooled the people that matter.Gould included.

Thanks GE. I seem to have reached my easy technology limit.
Painfully stupid question: do I just google anti paywall extension for safari?

Ugh, with everything, there is always the "this probably wont work for apple users because they are special"

sheesh... lol cough

You should google what you said. I did and didn't get too far but only because I thought maybe you'd put more effort into it. 🙂

Sorry.

Does anyone remember the last NRL coach that actually resigned and that wasn't pushed out or retired? I can't? For me it's another indication that he was out of his depth.

The above article sums up why Barrett couldn't succeed. Too much asking/blaming, not enough doing.

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Theodore Roosevelt.

Trent needs to read this.
He's been too busy building furniture or a file against the Penns do do any actual coaching. What a wanker.

Classic comment!
Bambi, lol
Sums up our year.

Not sure who the last one was but Chris Anderson and I think Brad Fittler both resigned after copping 50 point beltings from Manly teams.

Does anyone remember when Barrett arrived and started talking about changing DCE's game to more of a Thurston all over the feild type player? I remember thinking why. Why the hell would you take a player that was so good at what his role under hasler and toovey and change his game. This was my first red flag. I really feel that no player in our roster has matured under TB's reign. Players like Turbo 1 and 2, Marty and walker were always going to get better with age and experience. It's a shame we have had such a poor leader at the top of the tree with a roster we should have done so much better with.

Can anyone supply the stats for the number of tries our centres and wingers have scored this year compared to the other 15 clubs?
I'm sure we would be last by a mile.

Bloody demountables .......

I remember kiwi talking about a play that set us up to win that golden point game and commenting what a rare occurrence it was. A backline move with depth to a flying winger at Manly. RIP

Anthony Don has scored fifteen on the end of the Titans superb backline and I may be wrong but I reckon that might be about the same or close to the number that TT Parker and Tafua have scored combined ( Tom has 9, 3 in one game).

From memory I think Uate had 4 or 5 before injury.Suli , Walker and Kelly would be lucky to be in double figures between them.

And just to emphasise the total lack of any attacking structure, these fantastic backline tryscoring feats come on the the back of a platform set by two top quality props who rank 3rd and 4th in post contact metres gained with one of those at the very top of offloads.I would not swap those guys for anyone.

Throw in the fact that TT leads the comp in line breaks.

So standard bearers in terms of go forward, offloads and linebreaks and the spoon beckons.Individual brilliance and no result.

FMD. It’s just embarrssing.

Just scroll down to the middle for stats

If you click on the blue column heading 'T' it will sort by that column. So top try scorer with 9 is Turbo, then most of our forward pack 😕

If you change the URL from 2018 to 2015 2v year - then all our backs are in the top try scorers with Snake 16

I recall reading a Manly Daily article back in 2013 where our LHS was challenging our RHS for most tries and the combined total was 43!

Wingers used to be blokes who hung around footballers

Not any more

Look at the top sides. All have class finishers.

And we have Brad. Although that’s being harsh on him. Yiu have to actually get the ball to score.
