They were one game away from the big dance and a lot of that had to do with Leuilia: So the answer to that is-not enough to dampen his performance that year. He was being spoken about as a near certainty for NSW at the end of 2016 as well. And like it’s already been posted, Canberra as a whole were disappointing this year. Call it the Ricky Stuart effect or whatever. But He’s still plenty good enough for the NRL and way too good for Superleague. I bet the no cap Eels and Arthur will be all over this.

Baz got the best out of ex throat slitting loose cannon/supremely talented Martin Tapau. Darcy Lussick/not so much this year as injuries etc played a role. Then there is Walker, who would be seen as a dickhed and grub by anyone not supporting the maroon and white. Certainly most on here would have classified Walker a knob before his breakout season for us this year. So I’m sure Baz could get him going. I’m not a supporter that gushes over players having to be great blokes to play in a footy side. As Brenton Lawrence said, footy players are generally knockabout blokes, hard bastards that love smashing other men, and in turn love being smashed. As long as they don’t behave like criminals, what they get up to outside of playing for Manly doesn’t really interest me all that much. But give me a big strong bastard capable of breaking a game open. Well, that has the potential to make me very happy.

Ah that’s classic, @maxta did a similar thing a while back and I couldn’t stop laughing for a good while. My turn to cop the man love jibes this time round. Is too late to Post how I intended it to read in the first place? In any case, as you have pointed out, there’s nothing wrong with that.

It may well be. It may also be rumour that he has been punted from a couple of clubs prior to this one too. Would prefer we bolster other positions on the field before spending money on Leilua.

2015 he was granted a release from the Knights and since then he has been with the Raiders
2016 was named centre of the year at 24 years of age .
On his day a very destructive player .
