Elgey's defense makes Blake Green look like Trevor the Axe Gillmester. It's a worry. Elgey is a pretty big downgrade on Green. Reminds me of Travis Burns, quality wise.

You know what you get with Green.................and we aren't going to win the comp with him.

So how does it really hurt to throw a bargain buy Elgey in to the mix instead.........................if he fails, I doubt we end up any worse than with Green (table wise) but if not, the upside might be huge!

Spot on. Elgey may have been hot and cold last season, but his potential is is much much higher than Green. He has a bit of Luke Keary about him. Put it this way, although I wouldn’t be overly excited if we signed Elgey, he does have ability, much more so than Green in attack.

Agree...................it's hardly a signing that raises the blood flow but then beggars can't be choosers (and it seems that's now our place in the NRL pecking order)!

Put a decent team around him and who knows..................

Milford and Munster aren't going anywhere, that's as obvious as the sun. Only a fool would buy into that. And truth be told I haven't even seen an article from the mainstream press to suggest either player will be leaving their clubs. Moylan, Pearce and Maloney, thay're a different kettle of fish. There's a lot of noise around all three players, and as bad as sports journalism can be in Australia, I fail to see how Rothfield, Kent, Hadley, Zorba and a multitude of others who are knee deep in the game all just woke up one morning and decided to make up the same rumour that in reality has no merit. June is a long way off, and imo there will be a multitude of signings before then. Just as there has been every year for a long time. Where the above mentioned players end up landing is anyone's guess.

Well I’m guessing that tomorrow is the start of another #nextweek and I wonder if anything, something or absolutely nothing will be announced meaning we will have to wait to the following #nextweek before wondering if it will be that week or yet another #nextweek??
