Nathan Brown Wins Us the Game

He was great for 10-15 mins … yes

Give him Credit for sure

But DCE won us the game

And Jake kept us in it
DCE won us the game with the FG, but he almost lost us the game with the short drop out. I am still trying to work that one out.

You are also correct with Jake's effort play. For those who support other teams, that is why they pick him for origin, and as captain too.

So good off the bench, he comes on when you need that extra energy. I like he and Bully on the bench.

He's always been able to play footy. Has just had his brain explosions and likely will again. Was definitely a key factor in the win.

Not going to say he's the modern day Ben Kennedy, but another solid veteran we've brought in that's leading by example.

Thought he had another great game. At least 5 clutch moments when he stood up and barely put a foot wrong. What makes you say he didn't have the best game?
Agree. He was our best back after Saab IMO. He got us on the front foot when we were going nowhere. Diffused bombs that most other wingers would've dropped.

Can’t believe we are exalting Brown after thinking back to that Parra game a few years ago at Commwank after Bozo passed… Keppie smashed him that night… how the wheel turns.

How could i forget Jake with the hand of god field goal rejection. What a legend!!!
Yeah, Brown was great, and his two hit-ups in that last set to get us in range were huge. But Jake saved us by stopping that Townshend attempt, AND he took the final hit-up of the set and got a quick play-the-ball. Credit, too, to Simpkin at dummy half for an excellent pass.

So don't forget:

The drop ball on first tackle 5 metres out from our own try line when we were losing momentum springs to mind. Cows scored of that set to make it 12-18 then again 3 mins later. Thought he should have stayed wider for Feldts try too, have to back your centre to be able to catch a 2nd rower trying to run around him.

BTW I still think he had a pretty good game, maybe I’m just being critical because of how good he’s been this year. Just thought that drop was a big momentum gain for them

Fair call, the drop ball cost us momentum at a crucial point and we paid a hefty price.

Let me say, despite the broadcasters infatuation with Turbo, it certainly wasn’t Turbo who won us that game tonight. Well done, Brown

It was Daly that won us that game, not Brown. A great game from Browny but Daly’s performance far outweighs anything any other player on that field did tonight. I mean even the line break to put Hoppa down the touch line was the catalyst for our field position that ultimately led to a penalty goal.

Please note that I am unlikely to give Nathan the 3, 2, and 1, but was just ecstatic that we got out of jail with that one, and one NB was a huge part of that. I am sure my post was up less than one minute after DCE's FG.

Loved it when he was getting interviewed on Fox. They asked about his roving role. He said Yeah that was the plan, but I was stuffed after 10 minutes. (Not a direct quote, but close enough). @:D

Brown must be hammering it this season on the MVP and cleaning up in the dally m points awarded to manly this season.

He has turned a number of games for us this season

Our wins, overall, most influential player in those wins
The coaching staff have done a great job of getting rid of the redlining garbage in his game for the most part. He is playing and acting like a senior member of the group.

Chez might’ve got the field goal but you’re right - it was Brown who won it for us with two huge hit up’s in the final set. Inspirational and I can’t believe he’s not starting over the cat Josh A.
Cat ? I doubt you would have gotten up from that but he put on
