Sure we are somewhat under attack from the dogs at the moment, and they do continually give us reasons to hate them like superleague, dodgy calls in the 95 GF, cap cheating, stupid bred not bought slogans, hooligan fans, ridiculous government funding, smug CEO, coffs harbour - have I missed anything?
All this does for me is put them in a good starting position alongside lol@souffs in the race for second behind the cheating, whinging, dirty, purple scum (sorry eagle-rock08).
Sporn of Superleague itself, they were already easy enough to hate when they pioneered so many of the dirty wrestling tactics combined with their constant subtle cheap shots, not to mention beating us in a GF and viciously taking out our fullback in the process. Then the tantrum when Smith got suspended in 08 for a tackle that seriously deserved 6 weeks (but I will pay that a GF was a fair compromise) they really cemented their position as the lowest of the low. Even the rest of sydney cheered for us in a GF against them. Now that says alot!
But wait theres more! We find out they systematically cheated their way to 4 consecutive GFs for 2 "wins" and 2 minor premierships, robbing other teams of the chance and the rewards that come with it. What to they do? They beligerently and arrogantly continue to claim that they still consider themselves winners when the truth came out. Not once have I heard one single person from that organisation express remorse to everyone else involved in the game that they cheated, other then their Limited News owners (don't get me started there!) trying to cover themselves when it first broke. Then all the bleeding hearts of the world try to tell us we should feel sorry for them because they had to play last year with no chance to win the comp. I mean come on! The Sharks have to do that every year and you dont hear them complaining!
Plenty of people hate us for legally buying players from other teams (granted a reeeallly long time ago) and we generally think they should get over it. The dogs have played pretty close to (if not within) the rules here. Sure I will be deathriding them while ever Des is there but I will get over it - especially when we beat them. As for Souths, its all been very well said by Stuboot. Thanks mate. No amount of on field victories (40 nil or otherwise) will redeem the scum from south of the border from the title of my most dispised.
