The USA provides most funding.

20% of WHO’s funding is provided by assessed contributions by each of the 196 member states, based on their GDP

https://cdn.who.int/media/docs/defa...2022-2023.pdf?sfvrsn=3400287b_1&download=true

The remaining 80% of WHO’s budget is from donations, with the USA currently by far the largest. Australia is in the top 20 and donated almost as much as China.

I thought trump canned all payments, maybe Biden reinstated the payments

The thing for me is, above my belief in science, is a belief that I live in a community which means that you make sacrifices for the greater good.

We are away at the moment and it wild have been great to drive at 150 the whole way to make it easier for me but that would not have been safe for others.

Every month I see my tax taken out, again who would not love to not pay tax? But I do so things like the new stand at brookie get built or education is provided to those who can not afford it.

I would love to not have to watch my drinks but that makes the roads unsafe for others.
I would love to swim where I like but that makes it difficult for the lifesavers.

I am sure there are very few people (even with the conclusive science involved ) that enjoy getting a jab. We do it because it reduces the harm to ourselves and others.

It is again conclusive that if you get the virus when vaxed you are less likely to die than without it, which reduces the burden on the public health system. Again this is a choice I make as I live in community. Finally I have no doubt that there are cases of bad reactions to the vax which are tragic (and happens with all the vaxs) however the actual number of cases is far outweighed by the greater good.

Now you can quote what ever random website you like at me but it will, much like this post for those who are opposed to vax, not change my mind that we live in a community which requires non selfish thinking which I guess is my frustration.

The only way to enlighten you with my higher wisdom and knowledge is not to attempt authoritative comment on a highly specialised and constantly evolving subject area. Therefore, on this topic I am definitely a clueless idiot. However, any Silvertails member that believes they have access to special knowledge on this topic, is far more clueless than me. Hope this helps.
You are assuming that some people on here do not have special knowledge on the subject(personally I do not have any).
Sounds a little bit like saying unless you have played rugby league at an NRL level you are not qualified to talk about NRL football.(Yeah,I know you mentioned that covid is specialized as is any topic really)
Anyhow, have an awesome Xmas tomorrow and hope you and all Silvertailers are going to be able to have a good one tomorrow and stay safe....

Sorry TC. I'll be sure to ask your permission next time I post. You could give me tips if any subtleties are just too damned subtle.
By way of returning the favour, I'd like to offer assistance with your grammar.
Quoting so called intellectuals is not a form of contributing meaningfully to the subject at hand and more about trying to place yourself on an intellectual pedestal, just like your assistance with my poor grammar.

I would rather have poor grammar and contribute content that makes an effort to be thoughtful and offers a different perspective that "most" people can still decipher than be boring as F&^k with perfect grammar and predictable.

The picture in your reply has nothing to do with "Anti Vax" but pro choice.

Just because one is Pro Choice doesn't mean they will refuse to get the jab.(it doesn't make you an Anti Vaxxer at all)

If you look up in history mandates can have the opposite affect causing distrust and slow down the uptake of whatever it is trying to achieve.

People in general don't like to be forced to do anything which is perfectly normal.

We all have a choice

To Comply with the world health organisation and get vaccinated and follow health and safety procedures

or

March without masks and break protocol like loose Lunatics on the streets

Ignorance is perfectly normal in the human race

How did Omicron get into the country and spread around the world? It wasn't brought in here by people marching at an anti-mandate rally. The vaccinated (of which I am one) have carried and spread Omicron around the globe. When I consider the gravity of this fact, I can understand why so many people are becoming sceptical.

It's not a choice if you lose your job it is more backing people into a corner to cave in.(well ok i know people are going to reply "it is still a choice to lose your job or keep your job and take the jab)

If you get the jab for the most part why do you care about the unvaccinated, the whole point of getting the jab is to be more protected against catching Covid(or falling seriously ill from Covid) from the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.

Yes i agree with the increased pay load from the unvaccinated but also just as wary of the asymptomatic or showing weak symptoms of covid spread by 1000's of vaccinated i come across also.

And yet you are possibly the most predictable poster on the forum. Thought I'd unblock you to see if you'd become any less tedious but alas, blocked again!
