It's becoming more apparent the double Vax does "NOT" stop anyone catching Covid, though it surely reduces the effects from the virus and supposedly reduces the risk of passing onto others, which again is debated by just about every scientist in the know....anyways, maybe they will have this fight end of season, but personally rather see Aloiai smash out a great season than this 1 off money grab vs Gallen.
Admittedly would have watched out of interest and cheered Josh on, but Manly having a crack at the 2022 Premiership is the priority with daylight second...

It was never claimed that it stops everyone getting infected.
Rather it protects you as a result of developing an immune response to the virus meaning there is a reduced risk of developing the illness, and a vastly reduced chance of serious illness or death if infected. Getting vaccinated may also protect people around you, because if you are protected from getting infected and from disease, you are less likely to infect someone else.
Lots of opinion from those far higher than anyone on here seems pretty divided on exactly what the vaccination does, though I personally believe the symtoms be reduced due to the immune adaptation as you stated, which surely reduces the effect....and to reduce the spread is the major player and a fair call.
Can you clarify what you mean by this bit? Your words imply that experts don't agree with using the vaccines, but that's possibly not what you mean? (I don't think the likes of Craig Kelly and Aaron Rodgers are experts by the way)

As to vaccines, my antenna is raised by anything that looks like or could be construed as vaccine skepticism (even though that probably wasn't the intention) but we've already got Covid threads here anyhow.

No I just meant that the line of 'experts disagree' and suggesting that either side might be right is basically casting doubt on the accepted medical advice about vaccines, namely that it is important for the world's population to be vaccinated, wherever possible. But you haven't actually specified what disagreements you're referring to, which is why I'm not sure if that's what you were getting at or something quite different.
If you want my concerns, personally had ppl die from both Covid and the vaccination.....makes me pretty bloody concerned both ways - I hope that helps
In saying this I see Both sides pushing agendas and personally- pissed off
But the Covid is real - will mutate - and will be around for both our lifetimes
