Michael Ennis

Yeah I'm wondering this too now.

I didn't have a problem with Seibold before, and I thought that Fox were just putting out their usual trumping BS.

However, Chammas isn't a liar.

Seibold doesn't want to coach? Don't make him coach then! WTF are we doing. The worst part is that presumably Mestrov was asked about these things, and didn't deny them!

I think Seibold has always been better suited to the books side of things... Apparently he head hunted the Larges', Muagututia, Walsh, etc, on his own. That said, I was willing to give him a chance at coaching because, you know, he wanted to coach. But no, he doesn't want to coach. Instead it's keeping the seat warm for Ennis. What makes Ennis so bloody good? Why the hell does Seibold have to stop coaching???

Manly is entertaining me off the field more than it is on the field. Welcome back 2022. Get ready for a pride jersey. Why not, how much worse can it get?
Thats interesting you said that Seibs headhunted all those young guys who in fact appear at this stage to be excellent recruits ,I mean if he doesn't want to be a coach then does he prefer Scouting or Football Manger in particular juniors , as if thats true he obliviously has an eye for talent .Which is surprising considering in the NRL he has recruited Waddell, Chee Kam ,Lodge, Brown etc etc .
As for Ennis he had a prepared statement on 360 last night that basically said that he owes his current coaching job to Seibs and that its ""not appropriate "" to speak of life after Siebs when in fact he is still alive (metaphorically speaking) .But I got the impression that what has been said is most likely true and that Ennis will be next cab off the rank

I just watched that because my mate told me about it and full marks to Ennis and respect for the way he handled it regardless of what is going on behind the scenes but I still think it will be hard for him to give up his Fox gig, as long as we keep him on in some capacity

I used to hate Ennis with a passion when he was playing, but, after listening to him on fox for the past few years I must concede that he has a good footy brain. Whether that translates into a good coach is anyone's guess but he does seem to have some of that (win at all cost attitude) we seem to be lacking at the moment. I'm probably the worst judge of coaching ability but I think he's at least worth some consideration before being dismissed out of hand.

No,I’m dismissing him out of hand. He has the same League intellect as Seibold, great at the X’s and O’s,but doesn’t have that personal touch like a Bennett or Bellamy, where a player can trust them with their deepest secrets,so to speak.
