Matt Orford to sign with the Canberra Raiders

Just what the Raiders needed with all the young blokes in the side.
I don't mind the Raiders style of play. And Furner was always a tuff nut...you'd hate to sparring with any of their monster forwards :'(

I saw david furner at the shops a week or so ago up here on the central coast.
He's bloody huge! He looked like the terminator.
You'd think he was on the playing roster judging by his appearance.
They must be working hard on the fitness in the ACT.

Furner is fair dinkum fitter than 90% of blokes in the NRL. Guy is a fitness machine.

yeah he wont be back till 2012 though, but that dugan will benefit  from orford, i can see the  chip  or bomb being hoisted & dugan running through the middle hoping to latch on to it, much like brett did for us of orfords kicks..

Correct. Canberra coaching staff have a "fight club" style thing that they do. Getting Furner is like drawing the short straw. He is.....very competitive. Not the sort of bloke you want to get into the ring with!

On the news at 3 Todd Carney has come out criticised the raiders for signing Orford saying they should have given the younger players a go
