I used to imagine him holding up that 2008 trophy before it happened.
He looked great with it.
All the best to the Manly Champ. Well wishes to the family and hope for a full recovery.

I loved him, and when I met him, he was always classy and amazing. Get well Ox, you resurrected this team.

Wow, how does that happen? After surgery?
Get well soon Ox, such a tough player who led from the front in our greatest grand final triumph. And modest and gracious with fans too.

Get well Matty you little champion.

When he went down with a bad ankle injury the week before the 2008 grand final, he looked little chance of playing - and that might be season over for the team. He was that important to our attack. He somehow made it through, attributed the miracle to a product called pain away, and led our team to the greatest grand final victory ever.

Hoping he shows the same remarkable recovery powers again.

Geez, disturbing shocking news. The whole club is hoping there will be no lasting effects, once he recovers. As well as others in the RL community.

Is there an OX highlights video anywhere ?

Had a friend who went in for knee surgery last year. Came home collapsed and died from a clot. Should have been on some kind of anti coagulants when you have been immobile for a while after an op. It's far too common.
Same here, my Uncle was 42, broke his ankle and died due to improper amount of anti coagulant being administered @
