It was 9 weeks on Monday since Schu injured his ankle. Originally out 6 weeks. He always seems to be out longer than predicted. Is this due to lack of time spent rehabbing or just bad luck. Or is it that they are giving him more time as not urgent that he makes a return due to Davey's good form?Wasn't Schuster supposed to be back this round?
Like the speed but the inexperience in defence is a concern and it's our weaker edge to begin with.Assuming Koula lines up with Saab on the right that some serious pace down that side.
I think definitely the latter, tough to do fitness/field work with a leg injury. It was 9 weeks on Monday since Schu injured his ankle. Originally out 6 weeks. I felt they were vague with the prediction, and “6 weeks” in hindsight must have meant he would be out for the first 6 rounds. Classic ambiguity to keep the opposition guessing. Koula was very good defensively against Canberra , Saab can be the worry sometimesLike the speed but the inexperience in defence is a concern and it's our weaker edge to begin with.
Doesn't Gaucamole defend on that side as well.Koula was very good defensively against Canberra , Saab can be the worry sometimes
The only time he's had a big impact on a game was when he was with the Broncs.Hoping Fifita has another poor game especially with all the negative talk about him last week, he'll probably have a blinder. Shut him out and that'll stop the rest of the forwards going forward.
Agreed, as long as we continue to cut off the early ball and push Kelly back towards the middle.Kelly and Sami seem a good attacking pair, more dangerous than Fifita for mine. Got to watch them.
Koula was on the left with Foz, Davey, and Garrick, by far our better defensive edge. Much bigger test coming up if he is with Chez, Guac and Saab, where we are conceding most of our points.Koula was very good defensively against Canberra , Saab can be the worry sometimes
Nearly all teams concede more on their right side (because most teams attack best down their left?) (because most players are right handed and pass more smoothly right to left?)Koula was on the left with Foz, Davey, and Garrick, by far our better defensive edge. Much bigger test coming up if he is with Chez, Guac and Saab, where we are conceding most of our points.
Speed is great but unless the inside playmakers are creating the space for them then it's not too effective. Once again it's up to our forwards to gain the momentum and ascendancy.Assuming Koula lines up with Saab on the right that some serious pace down that side.
For example addo Carr at bulldogs. No chances.Speed is great but unless the inside playmakers are creating the space for them then it's not too effective. Once again it's up to our forwards to gain the momentum and ascendancy.
Their last win against us was a grubberathon into our ingoal all of Peachy who no longer plays for them. Agree, looking at DCE to control where we play the game.I can see if we let them have field position in our 20 they will score plenty off short grubber kicks. We have to freeze them out of our end and it's up to DCE kicking game and our defense to pin them down their own half. I'd feel a lot more confident if we had Schu and Turbo playing.
