@Eagle of London ..... this!I think he means one post signing a lifetime deal as allegedly the best halfback in the game.
We'll look kind of silly if we come up with nothing to show for an 8 year contract for the highest paid player in the comp. Put a lot of eggs in that basket, be nice to get something other than an omelette. We are 5 years into our 8 year plan and we haven't cracked top 4 yet. In fact we have missed the finals 3 out of the 5 seasons. His form this year as a player and a leader has been crap. Sure he tries hard, that's awesome. Someone pays me $1mil I'll try my guts out too. I think it was a mistake to sign him to a deal that long, and we still have 3 years to run on it.
I agree with original post, I don't think DCE is the player to deliver us a premiership.
Hahaha yep thats pretty much how it would go down. Did you see Bellamy give sCam the finger? And did you see him after the storm scored the 1st try haha? He was pissed! I dont get that guy sometimes but giving sCam the finger was goldStorm's highest paid player caught laughing after a Titans flogging at home -
Bellamy - Why the hell are you laughing with the opposition after that crap?
Player - But, Craig, it's only a job. Calm down.
Bellamy - Well, F%$k off and get another job - you're fired. I hear Manly are hiring.
I actually think CB is a sociopathHahaha yep thats pretty much how it would go down. Did you see Bellamy give sCam the finger? And did you see him after the storm scored the 1st try haha? He was pissed! I dont get that guy sometimes but giving sCam the finger was gold
They missed the best pic of all , me throwing a cushion at my poor TV at full time.
I still don't think the problem was Croker's kick. For mine it was a good kick and came down exactly where it should have. We just didn't come up with the ball. Had we done so, we would have scored right there and the score would have been 12-0. No, the problem was the complete lack of urgency in getting back for the tap re-start, something the Titans took full advantage of.Their first try is criminal, we had up to 4 guys turn their back on the play and they took advantage and scored the most embarrasing try. Remember the source of this try came as our 6 overcooked the kick on the last after having all day to get it right and we clocked off. Game changer right there!
The kick was 3-4 metres too deep, if you look at where the fullback caught the ball. you need to get the kick between 5 metres out to the try line. It was a big play and it cost us dearly!I still don't think the problem was Croker's kick. For mine it was a good kick and came down exactly where it should have. Yes I agree Croker played poorly again yesterday, but that kick wasn't as bad as people are making out. What was bad was our total lack of effort.
It was bad, but the worst for me will always be against St George in 2018 (I think) where our winger got tackled 5m out, there was no dummy half and the St George market simply picked the ball up for the most simple try I’ve ever see. Still etched in my memory.Their first try was THE worst one I've seen. Possibly ever!!
If we'd have caught that kick, we'd have scored. And we had as much chance of catching it as the Titans did, we just didn't do it. But the kick itself from Croker wasn't responsible for the complete and utter lack of effort in trying to get back in defence for the 20m restart. That was not in anyway shape or form Croker's fault. The kick was 3-4 metres too deep, if you look at where the fullback caught the ball. you need to get the kick between 5 metres out to the try line. Croker is nothing more than a fill in. I have not seen him create a thing is all the chances hes had this season. We had other options and the coach would not use them and only did when injury forced him too. Schuster should have been on the bench from about round 12 in Crokers place and it didnt happen and we have won one game since. We need a better option than this guy in my opinion. If we'd have caught that kick, we'd have scored. And we had as much chance of catching it as the Titans did, we just didn't do it. In fact, on the play Croker actually put in more of an effort than just about anyone involved in that whole sequence. Although blown off for pace, he was one of the last ones still chasing Brimson as he ran off into the distance.
Yes Lachlan Croker again played poor yesterday when given another chance at 5/8. But in that sequence, to blame him for what happened is just looking for a scapegoat.
