It is a statement strictly reserved for members of the hill after 10 tinnies, or armchair experts who wish to believe that one incident out of 80 minutes of football is the sole reason for defeat ..

As I consider you neither pissed on the hill, or an armchair expert, I can only think that you don't wish to be taken literally.

Hasn't Bully fallen down the pecking order.
He's now behind DeLuxe as a prop in DESpicable's mind.
There was so much expectation pre-season that Bully would be our 'missing ingredient' towards a premiership. Turns out it was simply More Bull.

Don't really understand it tbh however if that is where he stands then our best option is to release him for his sake and our cap.

If the players are as discouraged as some of the fans are then this won't go well. But I'll be surprised if that is the case, Manly's form is strong and tonight could be a very tough night for Storm.

There have been chinks in their armour showing at stages this year and Manly is the perfect club to take full advantage. Sure, they've still got plenty of dangermen but overall - are we scared of Ieremia, Seve, Meaney, Anderson(?) King, Lewis,Nikorima, Jordan Grant (?) ... No!!!

Can you imagine the difference on here if we didn't play our worst 5 mins in recent memory vs the Cows? We'd be in the 8, shaken off the 'can't beat a top 4 side' tag and it would be all sunshine, lollipops, rainbows and unicorns.

I know we shouldn’t be hoping for players to be injured so we can win but my God we are unlucky when it comes to key players returning from injury against us. We get a stroke of luck with Munster out and then after 8 weeks of every other team getting the advantage of Papenhausen being out and of course he comes back for the Manly game 🙄

Very well said. Players can have certain moments that stand out for the wrong reasons but winning and losing is a team effort.

I do love the days when all players are firing and you end up beating St George 61-0 or beating Melbourne 40-0 in a grand final.

So a game where we'll need creativity. Something out of the box ,something unexpected to pull out a win Des will sit the main candidate on the bench for 65 minutes barring a backrow injury. This will be why we are next to no chance tonight as well as continuing to attack down our plodding left side while the goose crab kills our right side stars.

Been away from ST for a fair bit the last few weeks. Certainly a marked lack of enthusiasm towards the team. Sad state of affairs when an hour or 2 before kickoff against the Storm and very few seem to give a flying f**k. Pathetic performance from the club this year.

I do agree the mood would be a lot happier and more optimistic. That said, as well as the cows are playing this year I don’t see them as a true top 4 side yet. A great confidence boost for us if we knocked them over, but it’s Storm or Pennies that are a better gauge (Storm less so recently and tonight I see them there for the taking if we rise to it)… and just quietly, no matter how you slice it we weren’t good enough to get a job done. 5 minutes, 5 seasons, whatever… we all know we are nowhere good enough yet to be a genuine threat for a premiership.

I hear ya mate - I think many of us are not so invested this yr - me included. Barely post atm. We desperately need to string a few wins together to fire us all up again. Let's cross our fingers it starts tonite. But agreed, I don't see the point of Shoe coming on when we're down by 20 - that'll result in panic play from the big fella and errors galore. Start him at 0-0 and let's see how we go. (And Go Manly)
