Always with the negative waves, Moriarty.

If you're so positive , put a thousand dollars of your own money on Manly , and post the receipt to show everyone you're not just talking out of your arsehole for the sake of it?

Exactly !

If not, you're exactly the same as the rest of us, and know the result before the balls kicked off.

Marks entitled to his opinion, and in this one, he's likely spot on. No-one cares about what you think of him, I'm here to talk footy.

Perspective time .....

Mark is entitled to his opinion as we all are and all in good sport

and this good sport is shown by the great characters of the majority of the great silvertails on this forum

The fact is though .

No one really knows for sure the result before the ball is kicked off

We have an idea on how Manly have been underperforming and imploding recently

But we also have an idea on the individual quality we have in the team and hope that we get it together as a team and make a difference .
We hope our Manly boys can make a difference this week

We can all make a difference to our own circumstances by stop being negative
and being more positive and optimistic

The moral of the story .....
Give peace
Give Hope
Give Love a chance
Never ever give up on the possibility of probability feathered friend Ryan

Fair points.

I would say though that DCEs kicking game is so inconsistent too. He can be a world beater one week with 40/20s and exceptional well timed/placed kicks. Then the next week he’s kicking to the fullback on the fly at the end of every set.

Is it just me or has anyone else thought about Schu for centre?
Understand he’s a big lump of a lad but wonder how it would go shifting him out so we can keep Davey and Ola.

He was pretty damaging down that left side feeding ball to the winger as he draws in defenders. He seems to create room easily at times.
He'd be a better centre than Harper that's for sure.

Nobody KNOWS the result before the ball has been kicked.

Thats the beauty of sport and why people get sucked in.

We are certainly up against it though and if I was betting my last $10 I wouldn't have it on Manly this week but we are certainly not without a show.

We will have to play like we did against the cowboys for 70 minutes for the full 80 to be in it this week and even then it may not be enough.

Felise Kaufusi out also - if Manly were ever a show - here it is
Here it is all right

The Storm are here for the taking

The question is ....

Do we have what it takes to topple a top 8 team ?

We have the players but some how we have not had the team

This game is a defining moment for Des and his credibility

As great as Des was . Every one is only as good as their last showing

We need to win this vital game against the Storm

This is a massive ball game for us

The last loss against the Cowboys broke our left testicle

Another loss this week and we lose our right one as well

Sea Eagles: Josh Aloiai suffered a concussion playing for Samoa on Saturday night and will be rested so Sean Keppie moves to the starting side and Taniela Paseka joins the bench. Having recovered from a knee injury Paseka has been 18th Man for Manly's last two matches and is ready to line up for his first NRL game since round seven. Jake Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans have been named to back up from Origin as have Tongan reps Christian Tuipulotu and Tolutau Koula and Samoan pair Josh Schuster and Marty Taupau. Ben Trbojevic is listed among the reserves as he nears a return from a shoulder injury.

Papenhuysen named at 19, could start instead of Meaney.
No Munster and Kaufusi is helpful, sort of balances out no Turbo and Aloiai.
Not sure how effective Keppie & Sipley will be as starting props against the Storm.
They've been practicing for several years, so if they aren't ready by now...!

Grant, Smith, & Hughes will provide a big test for Manly. If Manly wins this game there will be a sudden massive reassessment on ST of where the side is at. @:D
