Sea Eagles lacked intensity today. Garrick at fullback didn't work today (same as round 25 v Eels last year). Very poor defence at times. Think the forwards were rotated too early in the first half - either Keppie or AFB should have stayed on longer. Maybe some changes in the team next week?

Sadly I think by the time walker and turbo come back season will be long gone
we had more Talent on the field than that home semi last week yet we looked liked a completely different side today.

really disappointing , we can win ever week but when you don’t have a dig that is even more disappointing.

if that’s what they dish up next weekend I hope I don’t get the ballot win for tickets to brookvale oval .

Sharks also deliberately and blatantly gave away 6 agains on our first tackle, giving plenty of time to set their defensive line and pin us down.

Set after set after set... when does that warrant a penalty or even a sin binning?

Keppie has been crap until last week, he was good last week but on balance he hasnt offered much

I could see this one coming. While we have had some gutsy wins we have been pretty unimpressive this season.

In defence we lack line speed and our initial contact isn't strong often enough. This allows other teams to get quick play the balls and march down the field far too easily. On top of that our wrestling is abysmal, our players have a tendency to look guiltily at the ref like idiots when they may have hung on too long - giving the ref the excuse they need to call 6 again. Either that or they throw their hands up, again an indication of guilt. Our kick defence is (as it has been for a few seasons) terrible, we lack confidence under the high ball and are far too often found out from grubbers in and behind our wingers (especially Jorge). While I love Jake, too often his low tackles are leading to quick play the balls in the red zone, one of which lead to the Sharks first try today.

On offence the problems are far worse. We will not win a premiership with Levi getting considerable game time unless he seriously improves. Whenever he is on we are bunched around the play the ball and our forwards receive the ball flat footed. Opposition markers are eating us up. We seriously need some width and to work out how to time a run onto the ball. After we are tackled we just lay there and don't fight to get up, there just no energy. When we spread it a bit we are running sideways.

There's far too little second phase play, something we have excelled at in the past, especially when Fainu was sniffing around. The sheer talent of our forwards is allowing us to stay somewhat in it, but we should be dominating much more than we are. This is leading to a lot of pressure on our kicks, with DCE being rushed almost every set - something we can't afford with only one credible kicker.
