I did like the shots of the teams in the dressing rooms just then. Manly was all talk talk talk. Fired up, Panthers were just sitting staring into space.

It appears to me that every time a team cranks up the defensive pressure successfully on a team trapped down near their own line and drives them back throughout the set, that inevitably a penalty comes to the team pegged down. I'm not just talking about tonight or Manly, I notice it in so many games. Perhaps it's just a psychological sub-conscious thing where the refs feel a team cannot be that defensively dominant and just look for anything (even seeing things that are not really there)?

The knock-on rule as I understand it means you cannot get any help from another player to keep possession. The two Penrith player's both grabbed at the ball to catch it and then the scorer put the ball down as if he had caught it on his own merits without another pair of hands to "steady the ship."

Just checked the NRL website. penalty count is literally 9-2 against us.

The game is a farce.

Fox commentators literally laughing about the penalty count and saying that Manly will get some penalties in the second half. So IMHO this has just officially confirmed what we all know, that NRL games are being manipulated by officials.
