The big 1 they missed was when DCE found touch and trying to restart, the Newcastle player coming back booted it away.
Also the API quick tap....you are given a mark you can go - till tonight.
Fact is , some soft tries but showed in patches will be ok in coming weeks....

Yeh it's pretty sad when the coach thinks we only have 3 decent reserves. He whinges we only have 28 squad members but play 16 players... go figure.
Done that plenty of times last year.

We lost but we found a gun in Tanginoa - outstanding performance from him. Matt Wright offers nothing and if we don’t use two players on the bench then it’s the wrong bench.

High error rate, a heap of penalties and a lot of rust. Newcastle got home on energy and penalties out of their own half all night. It wasn’t that bad a loss to be honest. We will hit back - our forwards are close to the best pack in the game - our backline is a little lacking until Walker gets back - until then let’s give Parker a crack.

I liked his game tonight. Did Winterstein play tonight? Talk about being invisible. Thompson has not impressed me in the two games for us.

Knew that it would be a hard game, not because Newcastle is better but packed vocal crowd, calls not going your way and a bit rusty. Forwards did their job very well just the backline lacked polish. Walker out there would have caused them big problems and Kelly along side Jake was the best in a beaten side!! On to Brookie and Parra

Turning point was after Kelly scored - we were penalised with the ball for not touching the foot- 1st penalty for that in 30 years .
And Way too much drop ball.

No centre scored a length of the field try tonight, not even close. But the skill Kelly showed in scoring to put us ahead was sublime. Set up Jorge for the first, shut down some raids by the Knights and came up with great 1 on 1 tackles late in the game during regular time when we needed field position. Was one of our best tonight

We lack leadership. DCE hasn’t done anything to strengthen his origin claims. We did enough to win that game with some smart play and composure. Frustrating effort. So much better than the knights if we play smart tonight

He was good. The kid has some foot work on him. He will keep developing and only get better but will still have the odd bad game. They all do.
