Our right side defence is feeble. Back to Blacktown for Tippy Toes until he learns to stay on the wing. We desperately need Gordie at half. Croker was very slow and sloppy.
When weekes came on we looked so much better.

look I like Croker as a player and person but he was very slow in attack tonight.

I agree with you gordie can’t get on the field quick enough in my eyes.

I guess every player has an off night and maybe that was Croker's for the year. Yes, defence was ordinary at times but I'm willing to put that down to only being the 2nd game. Coz there is a lot of good defence. Maybe we could use the bench differently, not sure. There are still great signs but a lot to do. Wing defence?? Hmmm, that is a big prob.

Coming off a bye in round 1. In this heat against a tough Parra side. It's a very good win. We looked good in attack. Defence was good but we tired as the game went on. Maybe Willie Mason had a point last week about our boys gassed after 25. We will get fitter
They put 30 on us.. How was defence good..

I will take the win, but there is still glaring weaknesses in our squad abd players who just don’t seem upto it.

I can’t wait to never have to watch croker again. He was terrible tonight, he did one good thing, then dropped the ball.

His passing was much worse than usual

Tui needs a spell, to lackadaisical for mine, needs to learn who’s to want it again. He is going to cost us to much over a season if he doesn’t get hungry again.

Forwards were good, rotations and interchanges seemed weird

Gotta ask but where was Turbo when Hodgson walked 30 meters to score
I was wondering that as well but I'm pretty sure he and Jake had tackled the big fella that dumped one of the passes out the back. Tom was stuck under him. But I'd have to see the replay again.

I think I read somewhere that we have one of the youngest teams in the NRL and it showed tonight in their inability to to put the eels away on numerous occasions. Nevertheless we are off to great start and we will only get better.
Also, I admire Lachlan Crokers tenacity but I think we'd be better served if we had GCTK or Lawton to come on as a sub for the last 10 or 15 minutes of each half to refocus our attack. Nothing against Burbo or Weekes I just see them adding more to the team.

Turbo didn’t look to happy in the team song clip at the start.,

Croker's passes from dummy half were an absolute liability in the back end of the first half. We looked so much better when Weekes came on.

Parker had some very ordinary patches and Tuipolotu was very ordinary in defense. Other than those three, and a few terrible defensive reads, we looked pretty good across the park.

Fitness is a worry again. Really hoping it was just the heat...
