MIGOTY and it really is. This will define where the rest of the season is headed. If our boys are focused and serious about being contenders then a win and top 4 is a must. Lose and we can kiss this year goodbye. No bulksht excuses, no blaming ref fukups or bad luck with errors. This is simply MUST WIN.
Or we could loose this one and go onto win the GF. This is just another step on the route to glory. We should win. We might loose but come September we will prevale.
Try to look on the bright side mate.

Though if we don’t win roosters don’t stay in the 4
There is that plus..
Yes starting to think after watching the Rorters last night it would be better to finish 5th. Means we play 8th who will have scrapped into the finals. Win and then we play the Rorters coming off a big loss to the Storm. Then Panthers then knock off Storm in the GF. Hopefully 40 - 0.

The more I think this through the more I wonder if it would be better for Manly to come 5th. If they do they then play Titans, Raiders or Knights first up. Storm should beat Roosters so next game is against the Roosters. I suspect our next game would then be against Penrith to lead into the GF. If we get to fourth we play the Storm first up. Great if we win but if we lose we probably then play Parra and Souths before the GF. Being knocked about by the Storm first up, might take the wind out of our sails. Just a thought.

I'm hoping we can get a win of such magnitude today against the Squeels that the thrashing sends them back to the bottom of the ladder where they belong for generations to come.

A win will do, but I have hopes. And yes, I don't like the Eels, to put it mildly.

I smell a Brad Arthur ambush tonight and a 20 point hiding. Joey Lussick to carve us up if we are not careful.
Hope I'm wrong but we have been sloppy the last few weeks imo. the storm were there for the taking last week yet we had no knock out drops and plenty of passengers.

Hopefully a thrashing will wake us up for the finals.

Yeah , really hope that boys can aim up tonight with a good win and then with still a real prospect of a top 4 finish . Definitely better to gain top 4 , naturally hard games there with out doubt but at least a second chance if not a win in a i st semi there . Every chance of an equally hard game in the 5 - 8 category as well and if a bit off on the night , no 2 nd opportunity there to continue .

We haven't made top 4 since 2014 so it would be quite significant.
This time in 2014 Manly was leading the comp (and 4 points ahead of the team that had been gifted (or purchased?) the rub rub rub of the green in the previous year's GF.

Yes, then Watmough and Foran decided to sabotage the season, Toovey and Manly in general over the Glen Stewart non signing.
Foran then spent all of 2015 leading Manly on with lies about re-signing where he always knew he was joining buddy Watmough at Parra

We have not been the same since late in 2014, and Foran is back in the fold as if nothing ever happened. Strange times indeed

Imo, Forans only redemption will be helping Manly win a GF, and not push Schuster out of the club by hanging around too long

I can empathize with you on your loyalty and feelings for our club feathered friend

Let us also not forget that Watmough and Foran spilt blood for the maroon jumper and sacrificed and pushed their bodies to the limits towards Manly premiership Glory and that is why Watmough medically retired and Foz has chronic injuries . Both players will carry Manly premiership Glory as well as the scars on their weary bodies for the rest of their lives

The loyal Gift not signed by our club would have pissed off many of his Manly team mates and you your self being a loyal Manly man @XV-1 would also be empathetic to those players because loyalty works both ways
