Paul Kent is kidding himself if he thinks their roster is the problem.

I don't think Kenty is saying that their roster is a problem ... he is simply saying that most of the experts predicted that with the roster they have, they would finish between 4th and 6th ... which is exactly where they are ... so he reckons that if you finish where most of the smart money says you will ... comments that you have underperformed are hard to understand.

What he does say is that to go higher he reckons they need at least that one star X factor player that all the other top 5 sides have ...

Give us the details woodsie - did you get selected then someone else got the gig, or were you waiting on the bench? Who was in first grade instead of you on the wing in those days? Irvine, Brown? Rod Jackson?
I can bet you the @Shoe1 that the resilient and relentless @Woodsie was putting pressure on all those guys to perform at their best
So the Great woodsie played his role and done his bit for our Legendary Sea eagles

@The Wheel 🙂

Here we go again Manly and Parra

Parra's got Queen Gutho but Manly Have Tom the Terror

And Tommy is going in for the kill ,

How do you Feel ???

I feel like a 4 pines ,

I feel like a 4 pines ,

I feel like a 4 pines or two

I get it but I don’t buy it.
They have such a balanced squad and there are players that would be X factor if they were in a different system. That’s my point; the coach and the systems bring out the player’s strength.
Dylan Brown on potential, would have more talent and X factor than arguably every half in the top 6 outside of maybe Munster and Walker...but he is just average under Arthur because he can’t unlock their true potential. At his best, his ceiling is on par with those other two.

consider a scenario where Dylan Brown is at the Chooks instead of Eels...I bet he’d be one of the competitions best players. You should have seen what he used to do in the u/20s. Kid could be anything.

Nah....at only 183cm and 106kg's, that ain't a big unit for a prop these days. He's about to "welcomed" to first grade by Taupau, Aloiai and Olakattack. He's lucky that Paseka and Tof isn't playing.
GO MANLY!
I didn’t look at numbers, I just saw the picture of him in the tele yesterday, his arms looked a lot like Marty’s, I guess pictures can be deceiving.

Absolutely agree with that. Put him next to Cleary, and Laui is third imo. He is bloody quick too. But as you say, his true potential is never going to be unlocked under Arthur.
