Confirmation from Manly that they plan to rest Tom Trbojevic from their Round 18 game on Friday night, just 48 hours after Origin 3. Was expected considering sudden workload spike it would’ve caused. There is hope Daly Cherry-Evans will back up

So Freddy gets Turbo for all 3 games and we lose him for 2 and we are ones payinh his wage.

Well dragons now are favourites in my eyes after what I saw last week.

Turbo doesn't train for 2 days after a game, he is no chance. On the bright side he has at least 5 days between all games for the rest of the year

And that's exactly the worry...with the exception of 1 game (Cowboys - not exactly world-beaters), manly have been "no better than an under 8 side" without him since September 2019.

Definitely doesn't need to train to be the best on field but the mandatory 2 rest days rules him out. It's part of managing his hammies and has worked so far, don't see Des or the medical staff changing anything Tom does for the sake of 1 game.

So it is imperative that we have capable backs that can be more influential in winning games to compliment our team

In Round 12 we played Newcastle
a struggling bottom of the 8 team with Phoenix Crossland ? at half filling in for the experienced Pearce

The Knights spirited and resilient defence shut down Tom and we had no points in us to overcome them and beat them

The knights upset Manly by 18 points to 10

Certainly wasn't a one-off based off last year, but i'm giving the benefit of the doubt on the newer team members like Schuster, Sipley, Keppie, Harper and the like, who haven't been an on-field part of the Tom-less capitulations of 2020.

A performance like the Cowboys game vs the Raiders game is what i'm looking at here for recent examples.

Given it is forecast to be wet on Friday in Brisbane though, i'm expecting a grindy kind of game like the Raiders game, not an expansive game like the Cowboys...

Weather is going to be beautiful all week up here. Go the fast track.

Dragons are a sorry bunch, even though they are our bogey side we'll run away from them this time, after a tough start, and have a convincing win. Schu will be a significant contributor. Harper and Saab will do well. Paseka could really monster the dragons in this match, would love to see him as man of the match.

Right now onto the real season, even though NSW won the series give me manly going deep into finals any day over soo.
