And chopping and changing the side week after week after week has been part of our issues, so maybe same as is a better option.

Barrett is blessed with heaps more talent than the current Bulldogs team.The difference is that Pay is a Bulldogs man and we have a half hearted weak blow in that will go down as one of the worst coaches in history.

I was as filthy as anyone about what Des did... At the end of the day, he got results. Players took 'unders' to be a part of that side for close to 10 years. Des built a strong culture of gritty players who defended with passion. Even when the dogs were lacking a new style of play, they defended well and with pride. Get him back I say. Just keep him away from the books!

I get the positives , but he comes as a “ package “ and IMHO the negatives far outweigh the positives.

In our weakened state it would be wide open for him to ply his “ my way or the highway” approach, and let’s face it he ingloriously has left two clubs now so doesn’t exactly come well credentialed.

Exactly. Right now we have players like DCE, the Turbos, Kapow, Walker, AFB, Jorge and Hodko who all have a fair amount of representative experience, most of it recent. And we're sitting 14th out of 16 with only 5 wins.

Last year we won 14 games and so far this year we've won 5. And people still think the coach isn't even partly responsible for the on-field shambles we are?

I have always backed Barrett, but by the same token, do not for one second think he is not partially to blame for the diabolical season we are having.

Just felt the overwhelming sense of dread that kick off was at 2pm, felt it since 1:30pm

Can't say I felt motivated to watch it, we've had bad years, in 05 I didn't give up hope we'd come back against parramatta in that semi until probably 6 minutes left I thought we didn't have a chance

Well it's 11 hours and 40 minutes until kick off and I don't think we have a chance to the point where I don't feel like I need to see it to be disappointed
