Waddell , Sipley on bench, TKO starting. That is not a top 4 pack. Brown looked unfit in trials , Aloiai at #22. Looks like some have been holidaying too much. No confidence in our forwards. Cows by 10.

The last two times we had both Waddell and Sipley on the bench, we played the Panthers. We beat them the first time, and were goalkicking away from beating them the second time.

It isn't about the cattle, it's the attitude and fitness. Would prefer a fit Waddell over an unfit Aloiai every day of the week.

No Brown, Aloiai named in reserves... Surely both are injured. I don't think we are seeing out strongest possible 17 here.

I'm keen to see how Tevaga goes at 9. He surely must be better than Croker.

Both would be in the 17 if fit for Sipley and Waddell.

I dunno mate I just don’t think the Broncos are as good as what they’re made out to be. Of course I’m one eyed Lolol…..if somehow our forwards played to their real potential our backs could carve up. To be honest mate there’s not one of the Broncos backs I’d swap for ours & apart from Carrigan & Hetherington I’m not interested in the rest.

Olakau’atu is our only real back rower! For mine I’d be happy with Waddell partnering him. He’s solid, fairly quick, defense is sound & has a good offload.

What are you talking about?? Aloia had a shoulder injury & has always been in doubt for round 1. As for Brown he didn’t play much of that trial so he probably picked up a small injury too.

Yeah, definitely food for thought...I'd take Haas (over any of our props), Piakura (over Ben T), Riki (over Waddell), Staggs (over Garrick in the centres), Mariner or Cobbo (over Saab or Talau), Paix or Mozer (over any of our hookers). Then of course you've mentioned Carrigan and Hetherington.

It's a fast team with plenty of power. Their Achilles heel seems to be themselves, more so than a lack of talent. It's basically the same squad that were in front of Penrith with 20 minutes to go in the 23' GF. Then they went to sleep.

Anyway, I admire your passion and loyalty for our roster. I agree, a number of players are unfairly maligned...one mistake and their head is on the chopping block around here.

Ordinarily, the set plays involve the half either hitting the edge back rower as a lead runner or out the back to the fullback, who’ll use his centre from there.

It’s not essential that your edge forward feeds the centre outside him. I can’t think of occasions where Liam Martin has ball played for Tago.

Unfortunately Bozo has become very negative, I like the fella but honestly he's got to get over that Hasler isn't with us anymore, I don't come on here as often as I once did because I'm tired of all the whinging and negativity, once we used to have robust conversation about the team now all I seem to read is Spoonbold and similar crap, to me that's not supporting Manly it's nothing more than tearing Manly down and I'd rather not involve myself

In the same boat Ron. Barely been in here. Maybe that will improve as season kicks off. Tbh my overall interest for the game has significantly fallen off with rule changes, awful officiating, team bias, flooding of gambling sponsors etc being some reasons. Not sure I’ve come into a season with less interest tbh. Anyway I’m sure that will change 630 sat.
