The current thought is it’s an experience for him to be there and part of the build up.

As has been confirmed , he’s a developmental player and can’t be played without an injury dispensation.

I think that’s why he’s listed at 22

Only 21 players can be listed and the final 17 come from that 21.

Maybe it is really easy to get an exemption due to injury if required. Eg croker turns an ankle, hey nrl can we upgrade gckt?

In any case training with the top squad, doing the warm ups pre nrl game etc is gold for him.

It was insane, they’d name 76 players, trim it to 50, then whittle it to 31. On game day trim to 21, then the original 17 would run out.
