Manly In Crisis 2025 edition

We screwed over dessie and the players loved him as did i. He had us on a 5 game winning streak without turbo and were were heavy favourites to smash the roosters 🐓. Alas .... now we have this pretender who's done nothing running our proud club into the ground. ****! Dce a one club legend thus far is leaving us. Mind boggling! He's leaving because he wants to win another trophy and our team isn't upto it and the coach and recruitment is to blame
You are forgetting the team that loved Des put in some equally diabolical performances as well. Des had arguably a better side and yet they defended just as badly. Many were happy to see Des go. He ain’t no messiah. Sadly neither is Seibs

Solution? Don’t visit….. ever.

You seem to have anointed yourself as forum commentator and Judge? lol
Guess what Disco Stu, ITS A FORUM.
People discuss………. Wait for it… turn the music down Disco Stu….. They discuss Manly Sea Eagles ups and downs. Especially when we are total garbage…..
But yeah lets have a go at most the punters and the metrics of Silvertails …

Hear that?????? That’s the final song of Discos night. Boom tish…..
Ha what?

I'm not judging anything, not saying people should act in any way or discuss or not discuss anything.

Was merely asking @Dan if my suspicion that activity increases in times of mounting losses.

Was simple curiosity......and unsure how that is construed as having a go at anyone???

But glad you got off your chest what you wanted to.

Generally speaking the worse the situation the more likely we will see more traffic.

The biggest was Brett Stewart incident after 2008 gf then his trial. Same for when matai was accused of things. Generally speaking anytime things go badly for the team we see an increase in traffic and interest in the club

Random question on a Manly Crisis and the effect on Silvertails.

@Dan does site traffic and engagement spike when we are struggling?

I tend to visit and post less when things are dire as I dont like wallowing but I pop on and its like a million new posts and threads.

Got to be good for your metrics.
Yes

Cheers, thought that would be the case.

Fast forward to November 2035...
NRL today formally announces "The Adelaide Sea Eagles"...

Good Morning Hello GIF by CBBC
And in other news,

Storm coach Craig Bellamy has announced that 2036 may be his last year in coaching. He will decide later in the year.

NRL CEO Daly Cherry Evans has backflipped on his planned move to head Fox sports, signing a 10 year, $200m extension as NRL head. The surprise move was announced on Channel 9.

QLD SOO coach Brent Read has defended his controversial “pick and stick” coaching philosophy, which has now seen the QLD side lose a record 10th straight series. Read remains committed to the approach, despite conceding that picking the exact same 17 players in each of the last ten years may have somewhat hindered the development of the next generation.

The long defunct Perth Bears have once again applied for readmission to the NRL. The Bears have been in the wilderness since their debut season in 2026, when they finished last with no wins, conceding over 100 points a game in front of an average crowd of 278 people. The Bears were folded up at the end of that season and have since maintained a corporate head office in Greg Florimos garage.

Gun Manly fullback Tom Trbojevic will miss the opening round of the 2035 premiership with a slight hamstring strain. The injury is not considered serious and his absence is seen as more of a precaution. Manly enter the 2035 premiership looking for a record 5 peat Grand Final victory, surpassing the Panthers side of the early to mid 2020s, who have since been taken over by the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Not to mention topping up his take home pay of 1m a season. Mind you this is starting to look a bit doubtful now.

Seibold is cooked. He's lost the players. He's never really had the fans and in the end he has to go.
Nothing personal
Seibold is a good father and a good husband and a good citizen
But Seibold has proven to be a Crisis coach .
There is nothing Symbolic from Seibold that typifies Manly
This is why he has never had the Manly fans
The Leaks that he has Lost the players is understandable the way they are playing for him
It is Evident that he Lacks the qualities of a Great Mentor that unifies and Inspires his Men

'Seibold held seven-minute talks with each player as pressure mounts on the under-fire coach to turn the struggling Sea Eagles’ fortunes around.'

'The coach handed each player a document, outlining his concerns with their performances this year.'

Seibs: We have seven minutes, take this document, I'll give you three and a half minutes to digest what I've written.

Player: Thanks Seibs. Can I have a glass of water, I have trouble swallowing more than one page.
