I finally found out where I read that Darcy still holds a spot in our top 30 even though he has left.

Finally guys who have left the club like Lussick and Myles remain as being counted in our top 30 as they are being paid( in Lussick case he has been paid enough before he left to still be counted )

You even disagreed with me when I said I thought Darcy was still part of our squad in the Top 30 tread.after you had previously said he is.

Manese has this afternoon been granted an exemption by the NRL to play FG. Our closest club contact Silvertails member posted a few days ago that he had been upgraded into the 30, so there has been a backflip somewhere.

Does this mean we have a vacant spot in our 30 vacated by Jacko now that Fainu is on an exemption?

Would be great to bring Ando in to replace the injured and then gone Uate.

Are the NRL being nice to us because of the appeal whose result still has not been published?

The club website only has 29 players profiled. Mr Plod is not there, but he may form No. 30.

It's weird, Manese is one of players profiled and he is on a devel contract so that means we must be only 29 if Plod is included, 28 if not.

Would be nice if the club kept us up to date..

With controversial utility Jackson Hastings being granted a release on Tuesday and Lewis Brown out with a shoulder injury, Fainu has been given NRL approval to come into Manly's squad with no other recognised dummy-half option available.

A contract upgrade into their top 30 will be required to keep him there when Brown is able to return.

Mate that wasn't MY post it was a quote from another user that I posted in the contracts status thread by way of explanation of how the squad structure works and how minimum wages etc are structured. It had nothing to do with the Top 30 thread I referred you to. As far as I know Lussick (either of them) isn't in the Top 30 NRL squad and I have never claimed otherwise.

So I can't work out whether we've released Hastings just so we can play Fainu whilst Brown is injured or whether we released him in order to upgrade Fainu into 30 permanently. I thought the rule was that you had to have your top 30 completed by June 30, i.e. tomorrow more or less. If we don't upgrade Fainu's development contract now then I assume we can't do it after this weekend and he will have to drop out of squad once Brown is fit ??

I can't figure out why you can't bring up any player of any position if you qualify to through injuries for the 30 man exemption.
So what if you want to bring up a winger when you need a lock, and have four wingers in the team.

I presume it's to stop a fake injury to your 4th string nuffie winger so you can bring in your hole hitting back row behemoth who's carving it up as rookie in ISP.

I was wondering about this too. If only I was confident our club won't stuff this up!
