Fabulous attacking forward and yes he runs super lines. At the beginning of the year I was preying we signed him. After watching him a bit - I certainly don't think he has enough mongrel in defence. He needs to beef up as well in my view and yes learn how to smack someone. To me he doesn't make our side with that average defence.

MANLY CIRCLING TIGERS LEADING LIGHT

Second-rower Luke Garner has been one of the few consistently good players in the inconsistent Tigers side this season.

But the tall back-rower could be lost back to Manly in 2022.

Garner is close mates with superstar Tom Trbojevic, with the pair playing in the Sea Eagles' Holden Cup team that reached the grand final in 2015.

Garner moved to the Roosters the following year before making his top grade debut at the Tigers in 2018.

He's been a regular in the top grade in recent seasons and is still under contract for next season - but we all know what contracts mean.

Close mates with Tommy. Get Tommy to get him over, without paying overs.
i’ve had a wrap on him for a while. But must confess, he’s been consistent without being a stand out this year. He does run good lines, and is probably salivating at the thought of running off his mate Turbo.

Garner will be unstoppable, he’s bigger than Paseka.

obvs nowhere in our strongest 1-17 but I rather him over Siro and Jetski for backrower depth so I'll take him for cheap
That's why he probably won't end up here though...he could stay at the Tigers, play 80mins each week or come to Manly and alternate between Blacktown and FG when injuries permit...easy decision.

It's rare to see a starting player leave for another club to play backup.

I can’t say I’m over enthusiastic of this potential signing at the same time I don’t know enough about Garner. Obviously someone has wraps on him, we have been chasing him for a couple years.
I don’t really see why he would leave a club in a starting roll to come into our team at best on the bench.
