Yes. Surely he could be employed in an off-field role for 2013 which wouldn't impact on the salary cap. PR, front man, doing interviews, designing special jerseys, hosting member events etc.

Until he is fit to play, I imagine he will be employed by the club in some capacity, just as what Farrer has done this year,he can't be paid any extra for it though.
