Josh Schuster is the nephew of John Schuster who formerly played for the All Blacks before switching to league to play for the Knights. He was in Newcastle for 3 years (1991-1993) and then finished out his career with Halifax (1993-1997).

John Schuster at the time was the first of the AB's to switch to league, followed soon after by Matthew Ridge who of course joined Manly, and John Gallagher who joined Leeds.

John Schuster never played for Manly.
