Jason Saab will actually be up against a winger taller than him tonight.

The Knights resident Pommy winger Dominic Young is 200 cm tall. Short arse Saab is "only" 199 cm tall.....

Young defended on the RHS last game, which would be opposite to Saab.

I think the team will be stronger with Brad Parker back. In the expected conditions, his 90+ game experience, ability to play it tight and strong defence will come in handy. Especially when the other threequarters only have about 65 games worth of experience between them.

Reuben grew into the backup fullback role last year and won’t let the team down. DCE should be primed for a big one after extending for two more years and hopefully he and Kieran guide the team around the park. They have over 500 NRL games between them - that’s experience.
Terry!Terry!Terry! Mate while agree with your statement about BroParker 100% you know the rules here on ST. Under no circumstances are you allowed to say Parker coming into the side makes it stronger. Parker is slated to replaced every week on here by some young gun kid or moses suli or stag's or Gagai or..........

Yes what was I thinking?

Some ‘wet behind the ears’ lower grader who shone for 15 minutes or so in a trial game against the opposition’s NSW Cup side, has it all over a 91 game NRL veteran who has also worn the green and gold.

I too think that it makes it so simple for me so that I don’t have to wade through a heap of posts to get to what I’m interested in.

I did lock the Pre-Game thread last week at kick off but I don't really think that it is justified if the Pre-Game thread is locked any earlier than kick off.

Prior to kick off, with the Game Day thread, I think that other than they "yay, it's game day, Go Manly" etc. type posts, all other posts should be posted in the Pre-Game thread until kick off when it will be locked.
You forgot about Woohoo it’s game day !!!
Go manly says Go manly but
Go Manly can say Go Manly anywhere
Even here
Go Manly
No I didn't. That is all covered in the 'etc.' part of my post. 😛

rule!

The ball is in touch if a player jumps from touch and while off the ground touches the ball.

-As Saab is 10 feet tall, if a bomb heads his way, leap from outside the touchline and touch the ball.

3- profit
Seems like one of the easiest rules to take advantage of, especially from the kickoff. Every player on the sideline should start with 1 foot on the sideline, leap as far as they can if the ball comes their way, if they get a finger on the ball before they hit the ground, it's a penalty on half way.

always always wear the long steel studs on a wet ground.... never ever go with the short ones in the wet. Us oldies understand this key wet weather rule very well. So on a firm field you lose an inch because you have the short studs.
I'm stuck in the middle and for me it's moulded vs screw ins. Moulded can be catastrophic on a soft wet field.

Here on the Central Coast it's torrential. Already something like 150mm today and it's still going. So Newcastle would be the same. Add a 39 knot south easterly wind to that.
