Josh Aloiai

We need him for the rest of the year especially with Lodge out.

Moving forward, if we seriously want to challenge for a premiership he is one of the first I would get rid of.

Soft and lazy on big money. Bad attitude and just a problem on and off the field.

Actually hate him.

Probably overpaid but He’s been our most consistent forward this year apart from Paseka. the trip was stupid but I think a lot of people are harsh on him because they didn’t like his stance on the pride jersey which is unfair & his choice (Not saying you specifically). I can remember seeing interviews with some of the younger Islander boys over the years saying he has been a great leader for them too so I got no problem having him at the club until his contract expires

There are people like me who were very annoyed by his words during the jersey affair founded on his ignorance and how it ruined the 2022 season. He in my opinion is not fit to be a leader!!

He seems to me at least to be unfairly targetted by the MRC. Maybe that's just me being biased.

He got two weeks for touching a kickers foot a few weeks ago, then Harry Grant gets off for exactly the same thing, but with more contact. Then siafiti head butts someone and gets a fine.

Consistency sucks. But again, disclaimer, I'm biased.
I think the leg contact suspension was just bad timing. The NRL were in the middle of a crack down at that point but since then, there’s been a bit of backlash to such incidents and they’ve dialled it back.Nothing to do with “Manly loading” as some paranoid folk would believe

That was pretty fuking stupid. I'm fine with him getting suspended. That was so blatant and unnecessary. Just shows what a selfish egotistical prick he is when he lets down the team and club so easily.
He has had some good games this season.

Doesn’t play with the same intensity consistently enough, at his age and skill set he should be the leader of this pack with aggression.

Leg speed is not there and with the game getting quicker he is gassed out fairly early when we don’t have the ball, will be lucky to get a contract beyond next season without a significant haircut..

Isaiah Papali'i got hit with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact (tripping) charge in round ten against the knights, and copped a one match suspension with an early guilty plea.

I don’t agree mate. He does go ok from time to time but would he be seriously regarded in say the top 15 props in the Nrl?

Thats what we need to challenge for the title.

I could be totaly wrong here, but, by the sound of your post...you want Aloiai to be.. shopped around.

I was referring to the likely suspension, which has now actual. We were already light on up front …
All good mate…..it’s inevitable that we suffer injuries at this time every year! Suspensions hurt us also. Olakau’atu got 2 weeks for a soft spear tackle yet the same incidents this weekend & not a word. Tedesco trips intentionally & the slimy pri(k gets nothing!

not even close to top 15 but definitely is a solid NRL prop & I think he’d at least have a bench spot at every team in the NRL

Lomax last week took the wingers legs out mid air causing him not to come back into the game....no charge, free to play against Manly.
Manly loading is real
